Chapter 7

I trudged down the hall to my room and flopped down on my bed. I sighed really big and rolled over. My phone started beeping from a text.

 Beck: Hey

 Me: Hey

Beck: Did u get in trouble?

Me: Nope

 Beck: Thts good. Will u b at school 2morrow?

 I laughed at him before I replied.

 Me: No stupid. No 1 will. It's Sat 2morrow:)

 Beck: Oh yeah. So..wats up?

   "Lia, no texting after ten. You know the rules," My mom said from the door.

 "Okay mom," I replied.

   Me: I g2g. Got busted for txting. Talk 2 you 2morrow

 Beck: K.

  "Lia.." My mom said impatiently.

 "I know Mom. I'm done. Okay? The phone is going on the table, " I said putting my phone right where I said i would.

 "Goodnight, " My mom said then shut off the light.

   When I heard her bedroom door shut, I quietly got out of bed, grabbed my jacket, and walked down the stairs, careful to miss the squeaky step. Luckily the back door was unlocked so I slipped out quietly. I needed some time to myself to think about things. I found the trail that my friends and I had walked so many times after school, and followed it back through the trees. I stopped at the little creek we used ot play in and sat down on a rock by the bank. The wind started blowing at my hair and I pulled my jacket tighter. On the other side of the bank, I thought I saw something. It was only a shadow, but i could have sworn it was something else. I stood up to get a closer look, and it moved on all fours towards me. I panicked thinking it was the animal that attacked Chase and me. It kept walking towards me. I backed up and it kept moving forward. Then when we could see each other clearly it stopped. I backed up one more step becuase it was huge. It was a wolf, but bigger than a regular wolf.

  Lia dont be afraid. it's me.

 I looked around for whoever said that then looked at the wolf.

  "Was that you?" i asked it.

 Neither of us moved. It didnt move closer, and it didnt seem to want to attack.

  Yes. I can talk to you throught my mind.

I was suddenly scared. This was the animal that killed the teacher and attacked me.

  "Dont come any closer to me. Please, dont kill me. Please," i said as i started crying.

 No, Lia. PLease, I'm not going to hurt you. The others would want me too because I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but i wont hurt you. It's me...Beck.

  At that point i was backing up trying to get away from him, without him hurting me.

  Lia, wait...look at me.

   I blinked and he went from being a wolf to being Beck. I automatically covered my eyes- i have watched twilight. Then Beck talked to me.

 "Lia look at me," he said.

  I uncovered my eyes and looked at him. It was Beck, but that means...

 "You killed..you killed Mr.Dylans. You..you attacked me and Chase. Why? Og my god.." I said then backed up some more.

 Beck stepped closer to me. I backed up even more.

  "Lia, listen to me. I didnt kill him, and i didnt hurt you. I would never hurt you.." Beck explained stepping closer.

  "No..stay away. Beck, what are you?" i asked crying even more.

 "I'm what some would call a Werewolf. We live in packs together all over the world. This pack just so happens to be the biggest. But you have to listen to me, Lia. I didnt kill him. Or hurt you.." Beck tried to explain.

  "No. Beck...stay away from me. I dont know you anymore. Just leave me alone," I said and turned away, running towards my house.
