"Beck?" I said staring at the wolf that was standing right in front of me.
Yeah Lia, its me.
"So you really are a wolf. Beck, I am so sorry. I dont know why i didnt believe you. After I saw you in the woods, I...I just...I'm sorry," I said again, quieter this time; almost like a wisper, but Beck still heard me.
He shifted back, took my face in his hands and made me look up at him.
"You dont have to be sorry for anything. And if you feel like you do, then I forgive you. Your my best friend, Lia. I would forgive you if you broke my X-box. But just to be certian, you havent broken my X-box have you?" He asked me.
I laughed, "No, I didnt break your presious X-box."
He still had my face in his hands and he leaned closer.
"I would forgive you for anything, and everything," He stared at me for a minute then brushed a peice of hair out of my face.
"Your so beautiful, Lia," he said before his lips crashed down on mine.
It wasnt a very long kiss, but it felt right all the same. My lips melted into his perfectly, but all to soon he pulled away. He stared at me and smiled. I smiled back.
"Why did you do that?" I asked him curiously.
He took a deep breath before he spoke.
"I like you Lia...alot. I think I always have, I just didnt know how to tell you, We've always been best friends and I didnt want to ruin it," He said looking me in the eyes.
"What you just did right there...that didnt ruin it. It made it better. But I do have one question," I said smiling.
"What?"
"When's our first date?" I asked him laughing, and surprisingly he started laughing too.
"This Saturday?" He asked.
I frowned, "I cant. My mom is throwing Dad a buisness promotion party this weekend. But the upside is, all the kids get the lakehouse."
Beck smiled, "Then we could go for a boat ride."
"That would work," I said just as my phone beeped.
I took it from my pocket; Chase was calling me.
"What do you want?" I said.
"Where are you. Our homeroom is in the auditorium watching people rehearse for Drama class and you and Beck are no where to be found. Mrs.Andrews is getting angry becuase she said Beck was supposed to do something for her," Chase replied half wispering.
"We will be there in a minute okay? Stall her until we get there," I said then hung up.
I put my phone back in my pocket when Beck tapped me on the shoulder. I looked at him then where he was pointing. Our principal, Mr.Hargrove, was standing one floor above us looking down rather angry.
"Well, If i'm not interupting anything...let's take a little trip to my office shall we?" He said then turned not bothering to wait for us.
We followed him silently to his office then sat down in the two chairs without another word.
"Ms.Danvers, would you care to explain what you and Mr.Night where doing?" He asked me.
"Well, my cousin Brian came to visit and after he left Beck wanted to talk to me about something. We didnt want to disturb anyone in the classrooms so we went down the stairs," i offered up lamely.
Mr.Hargrove wasnt buying it and started to speak up but Chase ran in. He started to yell something but stopped when he saw us.
"What are you two doing here?" He asked us.
"Trouble one and two ," I said pointing to Beck them me.
"What do you want Mr.wilde?" The principal asked.
"Oh yeah, they found another body. It's Mrs. Aarons...she's dead."
