I rolled over and hit my alarm clock- punched it right off the nightstand was more like it. I groaned as my mom came in and turned on my lights.

"Get up, sweetie. Time for school," she said opening my curtians.

"I dont go to school on Saturdays mom," I said covering my face with a pillow.

"It's not Saturday it's Tuesday, and if you hadnt stayed out all night with Brian, you would be up and ready to go by now. You should be thankfull Beck brought you home last night," My mom said walking out of my room.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes sleepily. Pushing back my covers I stood up and stretched. I walked into my bathroom to take a quick shower and wash my hair. After that was over with, I began curling my hair. In mid-curl my phone rang. I pushed the speaker button and answered it.

  "Hello."

"Hey, Lia."

"Hey, Rylee. Whats up?" I asked.

"Well I have a small question for you...what would Chase and I look like together?" She asked me.

"Are you asking me this because you guys are going out now, or just in general?"

"Just in general. This psychic was talking to my mom about a guy in my future that- in her description- looked alot like Chase."

  "Creepy much?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I know right?" She replied.

I was finished curling my hair by then and I carried my phone to my bed and set it down.

"Is that all she said?" I asked her while pulling out my favorite pair of denim shorts.

"Thats all she said about me. What she said about my mother, I have no clue. Hey, what are you wearing today?" She asked me.

"My fave pair of denim shorts and my navy striped tank-top with my army green short jacket. What are you wearing?" I asked her pulling on my jacket.

"Skinny jeans and my pink and orange monster t-shirt. I'm gonna tie my sleaves up into a tank-top. You should wear your purple and green one," She replied.

I thought that over," I think I will."

I dug in my closet for it and finally found it. I slipped off my navy shirt and pulled on my monster shirt. They I reached into my dresser for my neon green ribbons to tie up the shirt.

"Hey Rylee, I've got to get going or i'm going ot be late. I'll see you at school," I said picking up the phone getting ready to press the end button.

"KK. See ya later!" She said then I hung up and threw my phone in my bag then bounded down the stairs to the front door.

"Bye Mom. Bye Dad. See you after school," I yelled pulling out my keys to my car and opening the front door.

When I got in my car I sped out of the driveway and down the road to school. I was at school sooner than usual as I pulled into a parking spot near the front doors. I stepped out of my car as Rylee came around the corner to go into the school.

  "Rylee!" I yelled.

She looked up at me and waved. I walked over to her and we walked side by side into school together.

"Nice shirt, Lia," Rylee said smiling.

"You too," I said returning the smile.

Walking down the hall we took a left and walked up the stiars to the hallway our lockers where on. I came up to my locker and started to turn the combanation when someone shouted my name.

  "Lia!"

I turned around to see Alice walking down the hall towards me.  I hadnt talked to her since Friday. She had probably been trying to get in touch with me.

"What is up with you? First you storm out on me in the lunch room on Friday, then you dont talk to me all weekend, and you didnt even look at me yesterday," She yelled oblivous to the fact that Rylee was standing right beside me.

"I was a little busy, Alice. Now if you dont mind Rylee and I have to get to class,' I said pushing past her to try to get to class.

"So that's who you've been spending all your time with?" Alice asked me criptically.

I turned around slowly, "You may seem to care about me being an underdog again, but you said it yourself. If I turn back into one of them you cant hang with me anymore...so why are you still here talking to me?" I asked then turned on my heel and followed Rylee to our class.

I knew Alice was standing back there with her mouth hanging open becuase I had never stood up to her before.

"You used to hang out with her?" Rylee asked.

"She wasnt always like that. When she turned popular she felt like if we lowered our personalities with who she likes to call 'the underdogs' then we couldnt hang with the popular kids anymore. So, to her now im and underdog. But I like it better this way," I explained going no further.
