Chapter 18

I stopped the car beside a brand new looking Dodge challenger. I sat there for a minute before turning to Beck.

 "Why didnt you tell me he was in your pack?" I asked him.

"Cuz I knew you would freak out so I decided to let you figure it out on your own. " He said looking at me.

  "Well, I'm freaking out now. Just...let's just go over there." I said taking the keys out and opening my door before Beck could even blink.

 I walked acoss the yard to the porch with Beck behind me. I walked up to Brian with open arms and he pulled me into a hug.

  "Hey, Lia. How are you holding up?" He asked me.

"Okay I guess. It's not everyday you figure out about something like this," I said offering a small smile.

  Brian and I walked inside the door to the living room. I didnt look at Shane, and not once did he look at me.

  "I want to introduce you to the rest of the pack. Here are three of my best fighters, Scott, Alec, and Colby. Guys, this is my cousin Lia. She will be part of this pack soon, so I expect you to treat her like family," He said to them.

  They all looked up as he said my name. And each one of them smiled in turn.

"Hey, I'm Alec. You look familiar. Have I seen you before?" He asked standing up and walkin over to stand in front of me.

  "Really Alec? That pick-up line again. You haven't used that one in like years," One of them said standing up to walk over to Alec.

  "Hey, I'm Colby. And that dork over there with the fro is Scott," Colby said holding out his hand for me to shake.

  "Don't hate the fro," Scott yelled over the video game he was playing.

"These three will teach you how to fight and defend yourself in your human and wolf form," Brian said laying a hand on my shoulder.

  I looked at him, "Where are the others?"

"Well some went out for a run, but I'll introduce you to the ones that are here," He said motioning for me to follow him.

 We made our way down the hallway to the kitchen where you could hear loud shouts. When we walked in it was a riot. Guys where arm wrestling and throwing chips at each other. I smiled at them all.

  Brian cleared his throat loudly and everything stopped. All eyes turned on me, and they where suddenly very aware that I was here.

  "Guys this is my cousin Lia. I wil tell you this once and only once, treat her like family. She will be joining our pack soon so great her warmly.

  All of the six guys just stared.

"If she's gonna be a part of this pack she better learn how to handle herself," Someone said laughing.

  "That's Eric. He has a bit of a mouth on him," Bran said.

I smirked at him, "I can handle my self very well thank you."

  "Wanna test it?" He asked me.

"Why not?" I asked.

  Brian looked at them all, "Now can you tell who she's related to? Let her try."

Alec, Scott, Beck and Colby came to stand on my side. I peeled my sweatshirt off and the guys whistled. I smiled and got ready. Eric put his arm beside mine and wm locked hands. Scott blew a whistle and Eric pushed my arm with all his strength. I fought back though. I pushed harder, bu Eric pushed back. I slacked off a little bit then used al my force to push Eric's arm to the table enough for Scott to yell that I had won. Eric looked defeat and mad.

  "Maybe she'll fit in here after all," I heard Brian say.

I smiled and stood up," Thanks for your time."

  The guys just stood there opened mouthed.

"No one has ever beat him before," Someone said.

  "Well I just did. Now would you mind telling me your names?" I asked sitting down in one of  the other chairs away from Eric.

  Brian pointed them out as they came around, "That's Toby, Derek, Jacob, Jasper, Drew, and T.J."

 Eric then got mad and stormed over. I didnt have time to react before he had me by the throat up against the wall.

 "Who do you think you are?" He yelled.

He squeezed the hold on my neck, " You cant just waltz in here and claim everyone's attention. You have to earn it in this house."

 "I think she's done enought to earn it Eric now let her go," Brian said.

  Alec and Scott grabbed Eric to try and pull me off. Eric threw me on the ground and I hit my head. I was trying to breath but he had made it hard from crushing my throat. By that point everyone was on him trying to get him to calm down.

 I reached up behind my head as Beck came over and I felt something warm. I pulled my hand away and there was blood all over my fingers. Brian grabbed Eric and threw him outside then followed him to have a talk. Everyone else came around me. I was slipping into blackness when I saw Shane, for the first time that night, lean over me to make sure I was okay. Then everything went dark.
