Flashback part 27:" Obito... Where are you now?"
I looked up at the darkening skies as droplets of rain started to pelt, breaking its form as it struck the ground.
My face was now drenched as I continued my leisure stroll, thinking of Obito.
" Are you doing okay now? Are you at peace?"
I wondered these questions to myself several times a day.
Occasionally, a serene and smiley Obito would pop up in my head and others, it was a nightmare.
The bloodied and suffering image of the boy I loved dearly would rip my soul to pieces each time it appeared.
Shadows around me seemed to be scattering and scurrying past, mostly trying to quickly get shelter from the rain.
Almost everyone.
Suddenly, the droplets stopped falling but the sky seemed to turn darker.
And then I felt warmth radiate from a shadow beside me.
My gaze shifted sideways to where it came from and for a second, I saw the orange goggled boy, a smiley facade and I caved in instantly to the source of warmth.
I wrapped my arms around the boy's waist, my face snuggled against his chest.
"Obito..."
A soft gasp escaped his lips.
And instantly, the goggles were gone.
The face was non existent and I stepped back, my head shaking in denial as the rain droplets once again pelted down against my cold skin.
The man in front of me was not Obito.
He dawned a blue mask, a stark silver glistened as a raindrop caught onto his spiky hair.
It was Kakashi.
A quick hand reached out and firmly encased my arm as it pulled me back towards him.
And it was dark again as we stood under the tiny umbrella.
Wordlessly, we stood still as we listened to the sound of rain pelting against the umbrella and the quietness of the barren streets.
Finally, words escaped from his mask.
"You're ghastly pale. We need to get inside."
I gave no response as I pulled myself away from his embrace, and back into the stormy weather.
I found greater solace in the gloomy weather than in his warmth.
I walked further away, feeling chills go down my spine as strength seemed to drain from my body.
I shivered in the cold, my steps slowing down.
Soon, hurried footsteps that slapped into the puddles of water on the pavement were heard until they died right behind me.
The same darkness took over and his gloved hand wrapped my wrist, squeezing it as if to give me strength.
" Kasumi..."
I could hear the pain in his voice.
" I'm sorry. I really am."
His voice almost a whisper.
I grit my teeth, the anger taking form of torrents in my boiling blood.
I shot a glare at him and saw the sadness in his.
