Kasumi's knuckles had paled white as she watched life leave her teammate's body. Her eyes fluttered shut and her body began to so ever slightly tilt as energy seemed to be draining from her legs.

She felt her world fall fall asunder.

Just moments ago, Shin and Kasumi were about to leave the scene when she heard the familiar sound reminiscent of a thousand chirping birds and decidedly turned around to help out her teammate, and was timely enough to witness her white haired teammate impale her only friend with his signature technique.

Confusion ensued as her body began to quiver with undeniable rage.

Her feet began to stagger forth as killing intent spilled from around her.

Her movement was halted by a firm grip that Shin had extended.

Her neck snapped in Shin's direction with a quick sardonic twist as she glared intently at him.

Her eyes began to glow and Shin let go of her wrist, letting out a small yelp of pain as the skin he had previously been in contact with, grew a heated red.

"W-wait! Don't go, Kasumi! You should wait and see.."

His words were cut off by a powerful force that sent him flying backwards as Kasumi's glowing palm contacted his chest with animosity.

Shin's back smacked into the bark of a tree with another yelp of pain as his body fell to the ground, paralysed by the shock of impact.

Kasumi turned her attention back to the silver haired nin gazing upon the lifeless body of Rin on the ground, cold.

Her feet continued, bringing her closer to the pair, as she felt her vision fog, her tears blurring her vision.

She couldn't comprehend what was happening.

Hadn't she suffered enough?

Then, her Grandmother

And Obito

And now, Rin.

She grit her teeth to stop them from chattering.
