Flashback part 9:

We leaped from tree to tree, pushing our leg muscles as much as we could.

"We're closing in on the target. Distance of 30m "

I stated.

The chase had been going on for about 30 minutes and I was starting to feel tired from the strain of my eyes as I had barely awoken them after a long time.

I squinted my eyes, feeling my vision blur and return.

" Allow me "

Kakashi muttered and pushed harder, overtaking me and leading me with his sharingan spinning wildly into control.

My legs relaxed the slightest bit as I exhaled a quiet breath of relief.

I deactivated my Tsumake Osunage and followed Kakashi closely.

"5 meters. He's speeding again, it seems he knows we're approaching. Get ready."

Kakashi stated as we made our final burst and caught up with the chakra figure.

"Tsumake Kaishin "

I reactivated my Tsumake Osunage and prepared to support Kakashi as we went into formation with Kakashi in the lead.

It turned out that the boys we had seen earlier were actually clones of this terribly creepy grown man.

His hair was plaited into several medium sized pigtails and he had a sadistic grin plastered upon his face as he greeted us.

"Hello again, it seems you all are pretty fast. I wanted to save some time but it seems you both are in my way and I, for one, will not tolerate unnecessary obstacles in my path. And so, let's end things, shall we, kids? "

He chuckled eerily, breaking into fits of cough until he finally stopped.

Kakashi looked at me from the corner of his eye, and I nodded in reply. He was going to attack.

I saw his hands weave seals at an incredible speed as he muttered so silently that it was barely audible.

" Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"

A massive orb of roaring flame came expelling from Kakashi's mouth towards the insane creep who was still chuckling to himself.

Just before the fire came into contact with its target, his eyes darted to the incoming blaze and he leaped to the side in a flash.

'He's fast!'

I thought and threw my hands into a series of seals.

I exclaimed and felt my amplified power surge through my entire body as my thirst for blood came back.

I create 3 fast moving water sharks that burst out from the ground, one after another. The sharks started to make their way towards the creep.

His eyes narrowed into thin slits as he leaped onto a high branch to avoid the jaws of the first shark.

As he dealt with the sharks, Kakashi took the time to rest and prepare for his next attack.
