I’ve never seen Iza after the Christmas dance…

Ria, on the other hand, has been the best after the incident.

She’s been very caring and very thoughtful…I don’t know why, but I find it a bit…annoying.

“Hi, baby!” Ria greeted, then she sat on the table where I was sitting.

It was lunchtime.

“HI” I replied, looking up from my novel.

“Have you eaten already?” Ria smiled.

I shook my head.

“Here.” Then she brought out packed lunch. “I made this myself.”

I smiled.

Wow…

Then, the whole Christmas Vacation was time spent on Ria. I mean, if I wasn’t at home, I was with Ria. Mom and Dad have already met Ria, so I guess they’re fine with it…I mean, they don’t seem to mind.

“Merry Christmas!!” Ria exclaimed. Then hugged me tightly.

“Merry Christmas…” I replied.

“Aren’t you gonna open it?” She asked excitedly.

“Open mine first…” I smiled.

With equal excitement, she tore open the wrapper and stared at my gift.

“Luis…don’t you think, this is a little much?”

I shrugged then took the pendant she was looking at and offered to wear it on her.

It’s just a simple jewelry. Silver chained pendant with a small green gem.

“I like it…” She mumbled. “Thank you.”

I opened mine and I found myself staring at a new set of earphones.

“I-uh,… I know you love music.” She said almost mumbling. “I chose this so you can always remember me.”

“I’m sorry if this is all I can get.” She added.

I stared at the brand new earphones. Red…accented with blue, and black. Kind of reminds me the Friendly Neighbor.

I chuckled…Hm, my favorite superhero…I like it.

“Really?!” Ria exclaimed.

Wait,…did I just said that out loud?

“Yeah, I really like it.” I said.

She hugged me again, tightly.

“Thanks” I mumbled.

And that’s my Christmas vacation.

I know, it’s not that colorful. But give me some slack, I’ve got some other things to worry about…namely: Vanessa, Napoleon and Iza.

(January, start of classes)

When I saw their familiar features, I grabbed my lunch and sat beside them. They weren’t even startled.

“Is she okay?” I asked immediately.

And basing from the fact that they just ignored me and their sad faces…I’m guessing the answer is a BIG “no”.

Guilt rolled over me again.

Oh no…

“Oh no…” I mumbled while I raked my hair nervously. “Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no…”
