I let out a sigh as I try to force myself to relax in the armchair in the back of the coffee shop. It had been a long day. I had just started a new job at a restaurant and it was so chaotic there. I had been on my feet all day bussing tables and trying to avoid running into the trays of food the waitresses were rushing around the restaurant. I flipped open my book to where my bookmark was to continue reading. It was what helped me relax the most. That and the peace and quiet of my favorite coffee shop was just what I needed to unwide. I felt mysef loosening up as I slid back into the familiar story of Jane Austin. I'd read it multiple times but I couldn't help come back to it. It was just one of those books.

As time progressed, more and more people started filing in. The noise level increased and I felt the grip I had started developing on the relaxation sliding away. I look up from my book, a frown on my face trying to see what all the commotion was. The shop was crawling with teenage girls. The frown deepens. One thing I had always liked so much about this coffee shop was that it had never been the type to attract this crowd. It was more the place that elderly people would stop by or college students planning on pulling an all nighter to study. I try to listen in to find out what had attracted everyone but all I could catch was something about a hairy director and personally that didn't sound appealing. I look back down at my book, trying to focus on the story but the noise level had broken my concentration. I snap the book closed, frusturated that these stupid girls were making my horrid day that much worse. I stand up and stalk towards the door, to blinded with frusturation to pay much attention to where I was going. I didn't really care if I knocked into a few girls anyways as I shoved past them. I heard a few grunts of disapproval from them as I pushed them out of the way. It was their own fault for ruining the atmosphere of the place.

Next thing I knew I was covered in coffee. I let out a shriek feeling the heat on my skin and quickly drop my book as I grab my shirt and pull it away from my body in an attempt to keep the burning liquid from my stomach.

"I'm so sorry" a voice says. I grab a napkin off the counter, ignoring the person as I start dabbing at the shirt. The stain wasn't coming out and I look up, prepared to lay into this guy for spilling coffee over me when I'm met by a pair of striking blue eyes. My mouth opens, but words aren't able to come out as I take in this blond haired beauty standing in front of me wearing a grey snapback and a long-sleeved teal shirt that was now also stained with coffee and yet still looked amazing on him. He nervously shuffles his feet as he offers the book back, attempting to wipe a coffee stain off the cover.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to spill on you" he repeats and I nod my head, unable to form words as I take my book back, clutching it to my chest. "Could I buy you a coffee to make it up to you? Or maybe a new shirt?" he asks glancing down at my stained t-shirt. I finally snap back into reality, realizing I must be standing here like an idiot.

"Coffee is fine, thanks" I say with a smile, looking back into the brilliant blue eyes. "I'm Emily, by the way" I add realizing I hadn't introduced myself.

"I'm Niall" he replies flashing me a crooked smile "Niall Horan."
