I hated this job. Pompous rich people running around everywhere don’t think they have to listen to me.My mom had thought I should get a summer job so she had arranged for me to be a lifeguard at a local hotel. Her logic was "You like swimming, you'll like working at a pool!" Wrong. It was one of those fancy schmancy 5 star hotels where all the guests are either super famous jerks or super rich old people. Neither or which were particularly friendly. A group of guys runs through a crowd, jostling each other.

“Hey” I bark at them. “No running.” The one in front skids to a halt causing the other 4 to run into him.

“Sorry love” he says with a smile and I roll my eyes, looking back out at the pool. I hear them whispering amongst each other, pushing each other around again before one of them goes flying into the pool.

“Harry” the striped shirt boy yells as he pulls himself out of the pool. The curly haired boy breaks out into a grin before darting off again the striped shirt boy in close pursuit.

“No running” I call out after them again even though I knew they wouldn’t listen. I sigh, shaking my head as I look back out at the pool.

"Hey" a voice chirps and I glance down from the chair to see the curly haired boy standing there, looking up at me with a smile.

"Can I help you?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Do you dance?" he asks.

"What?" I ask confused.

"Because I think I know a move that could help with these crowds,” he says with a cheeky grin. I raise an eyebrow as he proceeds to put a hand out in front of him and the other off to the side. "You've got to stop the traffic, and let them through,” he says doing a motion of letting people through. I hear a laugh and see a couple yards behind him the other guys were rolling on the ground laughing.

"Was this some kind of dare or something?" I ask. The boy gives me a sheepish grin.

"It was a bet on whether I could make you smile,” he admits. I roll my eyes and look back out over the pool figuring he'd go away. "I like giraffes" he blurts out.

I snort looking back at him."What?" I ask again.

"Darn thought that would work,” he mutters. The corner of my mouth twitches up and I try to hide it before he notices. "Ahh there it is! Just a little more" he says excitedly and I can't help but to smile.

"Yes!" he says. I shake my head, and jokingly roll my eyes.

"Well congratulations you got what you wanted" I say.

"Well do I get a name to go with that pretty smile?" he asks. I let out a laugh.

"Sarah"

"Well Sarah, I'm--"

"You're Harry Styles, 1/5 of One Direction" I say cutting him off. "I know who you are"

"Oh" he says startled. "I just thought... from your reaction..."

"That I didn't know who you were?" I ask "No, I just never really was one to fan girl over celebrities" I say with a shrug.

"Well Sarah, I was wondering if you would want to go get dinner with me tonight" he says. I raise an eyebrow at him, casting a glance over at his friends.

"Is this part of the bet also?" I ask. He quickly shakes his head.

"Nope, just me" he says flashing me a dimpled smile. I pause a second to consider it.

"Ok, on one condition" I finally say.

"What's that?" he asks confused.

"No running" I say flashing him a smile. He lets out a laugh and nods his head looking up at me with twinkling eyes.

"Deal"
