My eyes felt so heavy it was impossible to open them like I normally would, my mind sluggishly tried to peice together what was going on. The air around me was warm and moist so I must still be in the jungle, but that didnt seem right. If I'm in the jungle then why was Aoi or Cora not loudly trying to wake her, or Zero complaining that there was no breakfast waiting for him. Letting the noises around me filter in I took in the faint sound of water and almost indisquincable sounds of wildlife, none were familiar in any way. However low groaning and shuffling did reach my ears and it made me force my eyes harder to open, the throbbing in my head increassed but i kept going all the same. Forcing my eyes to open ignoring the pain from the light caused and began to take in my surroundings. I was in a cave of sorts, the large rock walls inlined with what seemed like metal ores with only a hanging ivy blocking the view. I looked around to see what was making the low moaning and my eyes widened. On the other side of the low lit room i saw my friends and they were all bleeding and bruised, all three had their hands bound and Zero and Aoi had their legs bound to large wooden stakes. My reaction was immediate and I did it without thinking, despite my limbs reluctance to move I pushed them to try and run to them. I was quickly halted though chocking as something held me back by my throat, taking in wheezes of air I looked back holding my throat.
A long almost ornate looking chain was attached to the caves wall, a wall above what seemed to be a bed of sorts. It was covered in furs and large pillows, and seemed to be ridiculously huge. Ignoring the bed again for a minite I looked at the chain and took it in hand to try and test it finding the heavy chain and following it to my neck out of sight and began to feel what i couldnt see. A heavy leather like matarial with metal hoops was attached to the chain, but i couldnt feel any seem or how the chain itself attached or opened. My breathing increased, no matter how much i tried i couldnt calm it. My heart racing as i franticly tried to remember what happened to us all, taking in a few depp breathes i tried to remember what happened after dinner. I remembered something being off while fishing and going back to have an argument when Aoi and Cora had somehow managed to burn rice in water! But there was something i needed to remember, then it came back.
(FLASH BACK 19 HOURS)
After finally cooking a fresh batch of rice step by step showing all three of them how to cook both the rice and fish, without burning them they sat to eat. Like any other time they sat to have some food together we laughed and joked. "I have an idea. Why dont we go and look and see if we can find that guardian Kyoya was 'warning' us about? Its gotta be better than scary stories, especially Zero's" there was a snicker from Aoi in answer and a objecting Hey from Zero but Y/N hesitated looking into the jungle behind us. She had felt uneasy all day as if something was in there watching us, and this legendary guardian was suppost to defend the jungle with an iron fist. Biting my lip i tried to remember everything we had been told. The guardian was a creature of un imagiable strenght blessed by a serpent goddess to protect her children and their home. It domanated the night and was not easily seen in the day and would catch you long before your could run. The creature would take no prisioner and take vengence on any harmed or destoyed in its territory, but it would not attack those innocent in his domain either. So in theory they were safe as long as they left him well enough alone, getting into his territory and possibly agreivating it was not a good idea. Just as Y/N opened her mouth to object Aoi joined in, sounding more than enthousitic about the idea. "That would be amazing, if its real we could be a brilliant story to tell. And if not we get to go on a good hike, the moons out so we can see and of course we'll take a couple of torches and lanterns" quickly putting her hands up Y/N joined in, this was a bad idea. "Guys this is not a good idea, if this creature is real we're only safe if we stay OUT of his teritory. And if it isnt we shouldnt be in the jungle at night anyway, some of the animals that are dangerous in the day are worse or virtually impossible to see at night. If you want to exsplore lets do it tomorrow when its light, okay?"
