Chapter Seven - Facing Fate

A constant dull ache was the first thing that came to me, shifting slightly the ache let itself be known again but I pushed myself to sit up on my elbow and crack open my eyes. The same cavern I had been chained in was what greeted me blinking a few times my memory slowly began to come back of the last 24 hours, including Karn taking my body over and over through the night... then in the bath pool and after returning to the bed. A hand went to my neck as I panicked; dread set in again as I felt the damb chain was back on my collar. Closing my eyes I groan quietly as I felt my hope disappear, Karn had taken it off the chain to take me to bath but clearly he had put it back on when he finally let me rest after he brought me back to the bed and had his way with my body again. Looking around I saw no sign of Karn around me but when I sat up and put my hand on the bed beside me I found it warm, clearly he hadn't been gone long. Taking in the cavern... or bedroom around me I looked for something that could get this chain off. Closing my eyes a moment I tried to remember how Karn took the stupid thing off, I was exhausted when it happened but I had watched having just enough sense left in me to take note of what he was doing around me. He had used something that he put by the bed side that seemed to slot into the last link on the chain by my collar, but I never got to see it. Opening my eyes I rubbed a hand over my eyes and huffed, moving to crawl towards the edge of the bed I stopped when my body heavily protested. I stopped and curled into myself whimpering at how my lower body hurt at the movement, breathing deep and slow I tried to ignore the pain. Turning again I forced myself to crawl feeling the a couple of tears fall in the process, getting to the edge I fell to my stomach I remembered Karn being here as I searched the floor with my eyes. Frowning I continued to look but found nothing but Stone floor, letting my hand move along the edge of the bed I found nothing where anything could be hidden.

It made no sense! It had to be here, I saw him here before he unlocked my chain. "What is it you are looking for mate?" I froze as his voice reached me, I hadn't even heard him come in. Closing my eyes I stayed as I was, suddenly more than aware of how naked I was. With the heat of this place there was no blanket just the furs the bed was made of, none of which were big enough to cover me that I could move. I focused on the sounds around me as he came closer, there was only the smallest sound to tell me he was coming and I swallowed keeping my eyes shut not wanting to see him. A claw came under my chin and was trying to lift it but I refused, the pressure only increased until I felt the pleasure on my chin increased to the point blood was drawn. Letting my head lift when I felt that blood being drawn I kept my eyes shut in hope of not having to face him just yet. But of course he had other ideas, as I felt his hand claw leave my chin his hand came gripping my chin in a painful hold. That was enough to make me open my eyes, refusing to let the tears fall as my pride made me glare as he smirked down at me. The hold on my jaw lessened so there was almost no pain but still tight enough so I couldn't move away from holding his gaze, I don't know what he was looking for but I didn't like how he was looking at me and when he lent forward I held my resolve and jerked away at the last moment... that might have been a mistake.

( KARN POV )

Hissing to myself at the stubbornness of my mate I moved to graze her neck more roughly with my fangs, this time in warning. I had left her only to finish placing what I needed in her new training room when I heard her whimpering, she was awake far sooner than I expected. I smirked against her skin remembering how I had explored every inch of her luscious body, having taken her during bathing and after returning to bed. It was not surprise she felt discomfort on waking especially as I had taken her chastity, and I had not been gentle after her body had adjusted to me. But now with her trying to refuse me it seemed being gentle would have to wait, my little one needed to learn not to deny me and I was more than willing to take the challenge. Moving quicker than she could react I pulled my tail to hold one leg as I flipped Y/N over and joined her on the bed settling between her spread legs, despite knowing she was soar I found myself trying very hard to suppress the heat I felt grow as the lush skin of my mate was in my grasp. Looking down on her now angry face as she tried to struggle against me I couldn't help but take in her beautiful E/C eyes as they flared, she was a sight to behold and I was losing the fight not to take her. Suppressing my lust I returned my mind to what needed to happen before that, my little one needs to remember who she belonged to.
