What on EARTH did she think she was playing at?

I stood there dumbfounded.

My boyfriend was locking lips with another girl. And not just another girl - but my childhood friend.

I was totally grossed out.

What should I do? Should I go over to them and slap her? Should I go over and start yelling my head off like a mad crazy lunatic? Should I demand an explanation? Or should I simply just walk away?

Belle drew apart and she threw me a wink over his shoulder. I narrowed my brows. What was this girl trying to do?

Then suddenly I recalled! How mean! She was meant to be a temptation! Right, but did she have to go kissing him? I winced. She could just sit close by or hold his hand or touch him but why kiss??

Part of me wanted to strangle her while the other part of me was curious. I was curious to find out how Niall would react. Would he jump up and push her away? Would he start shouting at her? Or would he respond with no objections? I was actually afraid to find out the truth. My heart was racing so fast that I felt it didn't belong to me.

What would he do?

I stopped in my tracks waiting to see what Niall would do. Despite that I was a mere few metres away, he had yet to notice my presence.

Caught by surprise, I saw his eyes shot wide opened making his already blue eyes glittering in the dusk against his pale fair complexion. Pushing her away gently by the shoulders, he jumped out of the swing.  "Belle...!"

She blinked at him innocently.

"Holy shit! WHAT was that?" he asked shakily.

"I like you," she answered matter-of-factly. "Can't you see it, Niall?"

Since he had his back to me, I could only imagine he was either frowning or had his eyes narrowed. "Are you out of your mind? Isn't Allie your friend? How could you do this to her?"

My heart skipped a beat.

She shrugged, "She is a very good friend of mine," she nodded. "But when it comes to guys, I don't think there is anything wrong. If I like the guy, I will try my best to woo him."

"Even if he is your good friend's boyfriend?" he challenged.

She shrugged again.

"You..." I heard him clenched his teeth. "I can't believe you...!"

Suddenly, Belle broke into a wide smile before she leaned her body sideways to look at me. "He passed!" she waved.

Niall turned abruptly, "Allie...!"

I smiled and began to make my way towards them.

Niall was as pale as a sheet, "Allie... I... we..."

"What happened?" I pretended to ask.

"Uh...nothing," he stammered.

Belle giggled.

"Did you have to do that?" I questioned her.

She laughed, "Just testing."

I had no idea who set her up to do this but deep down, I knew that she had a thing for Niall. Her eyes betrayed her. Why else would she have kissed him in order to 'test' him? But I was glad that she was letting it go at that. At least she had the morality not to steal other people's boyfriends.
