"You are early," I mused as I joined Zayn at the deck front.

He smiled shyly, "Couldn't sleep."

"Bad night, wasn't it...?"

He nodded.

The weather had been terrible the night before. Huge waves which caused a ship of this size to roll badly like pancakes being flipped over and over again. Many passengers were suffering from severe bouts of seasick.

"How's the trip so far?" I asked.

"It is good... I never thought it could be fun on a cruise..."

I chuckled, "Sometimes it all depends on the company you have. I for one would not choose to travel the world on a cruise when I retire."

He smiled, "Me neither."

I looked at him, and saw that his eyes were sad, as always.

"You love her very much, don't you?" I asked softly.

I was actually watching one of the DVDs of the boys' concert in Asia last year and saw Zayn did a special performance on Bruno Mars' Just the way you are, specially for her. If a guy ever did that for me, I would seriously be very touched. The lyrics of the song could not express any more better.

He looked away.

"Why did you let her go then?"

He turned to look at the sea again.

The sea had calmed down and it was back to its peaceful self.

"I had to..." he said softly.

I looked at him. He was looking so sad that I had the urge to reach out and caress his face.

"I was hindering her..." he said. "She won a scholarship to study music full time. I didn't want her to get distracted and stay for my own selfish reasons..."

"Why would you think she would get distracted...?"

"I..."

"Why if she's worse off because you left her?"

He shook his head, "I know her. She would work harder and forget about me."

"And you will allow that to happen? To forget you?" I asked in disbelief.

He bowed his head low.

"Zayn..." I said softly. "It was very noble of you... but it was a stupid decision..."

He shook his head, "What's done is done..."

"Why don't you get her back?"

"It's too late..."

"What's too late?"

"She's with another..."

"She is?" I asked. "I don't think so..." I shook my head. "If she loves you so much, she's probably suffering as bad as you are now..."

"Can we skip this topic...?"

I sighed. Sometimes, guys were so stupid. I pitied Jo.

"How are things between you and Niall...?"

"I beg your pardon?"

"Two of you," he said. "Aren't the two of you together or something...?"

"What makes you think so?" I asked, amused.
