47. His POV

They were joking around right beside me but she had pointedly moved to the other side of Rafe and away from me. She hadn't even acknowledged me and he had to bring up my half naked, stupid brother and on top of that. Rafe teased her about checking them out. Then she said. "My point exactly Batman. Other than Lu and Bernie I made sure to check out the merchandise on offer from the football team. And the girls were all very helpful in commenting on the relationship statuses of each one of them too."

"Oh my..." Rafe pretended to be angry at her. "You didn't even tell me you were shopping for one? I thought jock wasn't your type?!"
"Well, a girl is allowed to change her mind... I might just want to try one of those sweet six packs. I am single after all..." She smirked at him just as I looked her way.

"No." I snapped before I could think. Both Rafe and Milly stopped and turned to me.
"Say what?" Rafe asked with a smirk. "Isn't it a woman's prerogative to change her mind?"

"Yes. But she not allowed to change her mind. Not on this." I replied without thinking, annoyed beyond reason.
"Excuse me! I'm right here you know!" She snapped at me with her hands on her hips.

Rafe smirked at me, raising his eyebrows, challenging me to take it up with her. I stepped around Rafe and he made space by stepping back, going to lean against the wall, still smirking. Ignoring him I stepped really close and she didn't back up. Instead she defiantly glared at me as I lowered my head.
I wanted to kiss her but instead made sure to brush my lips against her ear when I heatedly whispered what was on my mind. My filter broken, from the idea of her dating someone other than me.
"You claimed me remember and I'm not done with us. You may have started this but so far I've only gone along with you. I haven't even started yet. So NO... you're not allowed to change your mind. You're not allowed to shop for boyfriends and I'd be much happier if you didn't even look at any other guys. You want to see a half naked guy or drool over a six pack, I'll be happy to show you mine. Any time. Just say the word, sweetheart."

When I straightened back up she was blushing madly. I made sure not to look at Rafe after loosing my cool like that, I had to work at not showing the inner turmoil she caused. I could hear the smirk in his voice when he spoke to her, asking if I cleared up why she couldn't have a boyfriend. He moved her so she was back to walking between the two of us. Crazy bastard had been baiting me and he had managed to make me snap.

The rest of the day was alright. I remained quiet while Rafe and Milly talked about everything and anything whenever they were together. The bastard kept tucking her under his arm like they were a damned couple. Mikey was still angry with them because he still wasn't sure if they had been joking in the morning. Sly kept glancing at them and then me to see if I was going to get upset, I could see he thought they'd been serious. And me... I kept my face neutral throughout the day, only glaring occasionally if someone was looking at us too blatantly.

Almost a week went by in a mad rush and nothing significant happened. The football cheer fiasco had gone viral and Mike was lapping it up, he was one of the last men standing after all. Milly was still trying hard to keep out of Annie's way but she explained that she just hadn't felt like telling Annie about what she'd done with us on the weekend. We weren't fighting the coming weekend. Lee was actually the one that didn't want us to fight. Rafe for obvious reasons, but with me he said he didn't want to answer to my mother. Rafe's father was the one that answered to my parents regarding the fighting but Lee didn't care, he only allowed us one fight-night a month. We did train at his gym. On Wednesday and Thursday I had night classes at the university and on those nights Rafe went to the gym with Lee. I got pictures from him showing he had brought Milly with him. She was wearing black shorts and a tight singlet that was sweaty and it left nothing to the imagination. He send pictures of her sparring with Lee and a crowd of guys watching. Lee send shots of her sparring with Rafe and they made selfies that they both shared with me. I never hated being smart as much as I did those two days and I'd never been more bummed out about not to be working my ass of at the gym. I didn't pay nearly enough attention to my lectures. The Saturday would be crap too. Milly had to be at the closed auditions, Annie insisted and Milly assured us it was just so that Annie could ruin her Saturday. Milly still hated cheer and still got paid in pizza but every other day she shared it with us at lunch because Annie was giving her a whole one every second day.
