29. His POV

Bat Lois... her uncle is just as quirky as she. I would have never guessed from Lucas, he was probably the most normal one in the family. Not that I had a problem with anything, she was holding me against her and I had slipped my arm around her shoulders because Rafe had his draped down across her back. She slowly leaned my way a bit but I thought that could be wishful thinking.

"Jeeezus girl! Every damned girl at school has been wanting a piece of these two at one time or another and you take them both... first week at school!" Annie sounded somewhat awed of Milly. Rafe didn't make a sound either but I'm sure that he felt just as pleased as I did, regardless of batting for the other team. It was nice to know.

"May I just say my dearest Annie... I'm_"

She was interrupted when Lucas suddenly stepped closer and poked a finger at Rafe. "You've been fighting again! That's fresh, you didn't have that last night."

"So?"

Milly wormed her way out of our arms and stepped right up to Lucas, basically in front of Rafe.

"Lu! They're my friends and they're nothing like him, have a little faith in my intelligence yeah?"

"Sure, when you tell me why there is a big fat bruise on your arm... you forgot to cover it up dumbshit!" He growled as he grabbed her arm, he'd obviously seen the bruise when she slipped her jacket off. To everyone's surprise they had a small stare-off, silently having a screaming match with their eyes and then they suddenly grabbed each other and hugged tightly. I went to sit at the table with Rafe and he left a seat between us when he sat down. Best friend, ever.

They went over the plan, her uncle gave Annie a phone that looked just like hers. Lucas and Danny got another one for the boys lockers. Sadly her uncle also confirmed that there had been several complaints against Annie as well as the other girl that helped her run the cheer team if she had her own competitions for sport. The two girls had different sporting commitments. I wasn't sure if Annie was going to cry or if she was more likely to throw something so her reaction surprised me. She gave Milly a cold disconcerting smile that I saw mirrored on Milly's face and said. "We are going to bury those bitches that deep, that they will have to learn a new language by the time they find a way out."

"I personally think we should get a confession..." Milly mused.

"They'd never be that stupid?" Danny said carefully. The girls looked dangerous and I think he was afraid they'd turn on him. Both of them looked at him then at each other. Annie asked Mills how they would get it. "Hysterics. Or something close to it. You think every girl has wanted a piece of these guys... I'll make sure that there won't be any doubt that I'm with both of them and when you break down, something they are probably counting on anyway, I'll be the one to confront them about their stupid games."

"How does it matter if you are with them?" Danny asked. I think we were all a bit curious about that, except Annie.
She answered for Milly. "You think guys are the only ones that brag about conquests? These guys are like the holy grail, not a single girl ever got close to either of them. When Mike and Sly have girlfriends they sit with her friends. I don't want these two and I'm still a bit jealous."

Milly grinned. "It'll make them so angry that common sense will fly right out the door when I confront them, they be bound to brag about what they did to Annie just to get one over my achievement." She turned in her chair put her legs on Rafe and grabbed my arm, draping it around her so she could lean into my side. We all thought about that for a bit and it made sense. Her uncle was looking thoughtfully at Milly as she leaned against me.
Rafe smirked at Annie. "We'll make it work, Bubbles. Don't you worry about a thing."
