Barely seconds after Eren spoke, there was a loud bang, then thud.

A moment later Levi burst into the room, and Eren turned towards him. Levi glanced at him and heaved a sigh, running a hand through his hair. "Eren," he said, and Eren glared at him. "Levi," he replied, and his tone was mocking.

"What the fuck was that?" Levi demanded flatly.

"The truth!" Eren spat back. "You wanna fucking replace me?! Go ahead!" Eren spread his arms out wide. "Replace me with that fucking slut. That's your big plan, right?! The one involving me, you, and that bitch. Real damn clever!"

"What?" Levi's brow furrowed. "No!"

"Then what is it?! Huh?!" Eren screamed, his anger blinding him. Levi approached him slowly, not like a predator but like a cautious hunter nearing a wild cat caught in a trap meant for a rabbit. His movements were careful.

"Listen to me, Eren," Levi said, crouching down in front of him. Eren glowered at him, his green eyes seemingly glowing. Levi knew he was pissed off, and he knew Eren was pissed off at him. "I am never, never going to replace you. Ever."

"Oh, yeah? Then why is she here? And what's your big plan?" Eren demanded, the tears brimming in his eyes again. Levi leaned over and grabbed onto his hands, and Eren made to pull away but his grip was too tight to dislodge.

"My plan is secret for now, but once it happens I will tell you. But it definitely does not involve me replacing you with Petra. If it did, you'd have been dead already. But I can't even bear that idea, mon amour. I would never want anyone else other than you at my side. I don't know why you started thinking I'd discard you like trash, because it's the exact opposite. I love you so much. I'm doing all of this so I can keep you with me forever, not replace you! I want you with me."

". . . For eternity."

"And, Eren, see . . . You want to stay with me forever, too, don't you?"

Yes.

No!

"I don't know," Eren choked out. Levi leaned towards him, brushing a thumb against Eren's skin, sending shivers down his spine. "Why else would you have gotten so angry at the prospect of being replaced? Of leaving me? Why else would you have grown so utterly furious? Why else would you have hated Petra so much without even getting to know her? It's because you love me, and you want to stay with me forever. Isn't that right, Eren? Say it. Say you want to stay."

"I —"

"Do you want to get replaced? Do you want me to love someone else? Is that really what your heart desires, Eren Yeager? Do you want me to discard you and choose Petra instead? Or do you want to stay with me, and stay forever?"

"No!" Eren blurted out.

"I want to stay!" He gasped. "I want to stay with you forever."

Eyes glinting maniacally, Levi smiled. "I thought so," he purred. He moved forward, quick as a flash, and smashed his lips onto Eren's. The kiss was desperate, and Eren could feel more tears spilling from his eyes and leaking down his face as Levi's mouth pressed harshly against his, leaving a bruise.

Drawing away, Levi wiped Eren's tears away with his thumb and smiled gently. "There's no need to cry, darling. We can be together forever. As long as you go through with my plan." He smiled wider, and Eren inhaled sharply.

"What even is your plan?" He asked hoarsely.

"It was supposed to be a secret, remember?" Levi lightly tapped Eren's nose before sighing. "Oh, well, I suppose I'll tell you." He hummed and chewed on his bottom lip before saying, "I want you, and only you, Eren, to kill Petra."

To kill her?

I can't kill again. I told him that. I told him I can't kill again!

Do it. If it means staying with him, do it.

No! I have morals, I will not kill her! I can't kill her!

Remember your anger? You hate her, why let her live?

"Agh—" Eren clutched at his head, squeezing his eyes shut tight. Levi gently gripped his hands and murmured, "Eren, you have to do this. If you kill Petra, you can stay with me forever. If you kill Petra, you're proving you're loyal to me."

"Please don't make me," Eren whimpered.

"Eren . . . Think about your earlier anger. Channel it, remember? Don't you recall how pissed you were at the idea of being replaced by her? I want you at my side for eternity, so all you need to do is kill her, and we can be together."

But I don't . . . I just want to be free . . .

Freedom is only with Levi.

"I love you, Eren."

Do it.

"Alright," Eren choked out, his eyes flying open. They were glowing bright green, and brimming with tears. "Fine, Levi. I will do it, and prove I am loyal."
