Ikeri POV
I arrived the training ground at 5am sharp. Papa always taught me to be up punctual. Although it seems Kakashi doesn't know how to be punctual. He was four hours late. It made total sense, I wondered why he was still sleeping when I left the house."YOU'RE LATE!" Sakura and Naruto yelled at him. Me and Sasuke just looked.
"Well a black car crossed my path so I had to take another." Kakashi said, nervously.
"Anyway, today's assignment is to take these bells away from me by noon. Those who don't get it don't get lunch. You'll be tied to the that as I eat my lunch before your very eyes." He said while pointing at the logs placed before hand.
"There's only three bells so that means only three person can pass while the other gets send back to the academy. It might be just one person or all of you. You can use your ninja tools. You won't be able to get a bell unless you come at me with intent to kill." Kakashi smirked, looking confident.
There's no way we could beat a jounin like him. Unless... No! I can't. It's supposed to be a secret.
"Ready... Start!" He yelled, interrupting my thoughts.
I hid under the bushes. I could cast a genjutsu on Kakashi and take the bells. Will that work on Kakashi? He could break free easily and he might even fond it suspicious. Let's give it a try. Papa has been teaching me how to use genjutsu without using my sharingan and with my sharingan. I'll use the one that doesn't require the sharingan.
But to my surprise before I could do anything Naruto already made his move.
"You and me. Fair and square!" He yelled with a big grin on his face.
Idiot.
They fought. Kakashi had the upper hand, of course. The fight didn't last long before Kakashi threw him into the river. Kakashi was even reading a book while fighting. I took that chance.
"Darkness confusion: Light Illusion." I whispered, assuring he won't hear me, casting a genjutsu over Kakashi.
Then I came out of the bushes. He didn't notice me, he was just standing there, that means he's under the genjutsu. I ran ahead and took the bells. Then I did him a favor and undid the genjutsu. "Release!"
"What? Ikeri? How did you..." He seemed to be wordless, impressed and confused at the same time.
"You were under a genjutsu Kakashi." I said giving him a casual look.
"But who casted it? I noticed but I couldn't break out. It was a B rank or higher genjutsu." Kakashi said.
I shook my head, saying I didn't know. He didn't witness me cast it so I'll just keep quiet for now. He won't find out, or so I hope.
Kakashi POV
"Well in any case I got the bells so I pass right?" Ikeri said.
Odd. There isn't anyone else around to be able to cast that genjutsu. It's at least B rank. The highest possibility is Ikeri. We don't know anything about her, although she may seem to just started not more than a week she could've been faking. Besides she was even able to release me from the genjutsu that's at least B rank. A mere genin can't possibly do that. I'll have to report this to Lord Third later. He'll know what to do about this.
"Very well then. Ikeri you pass. You have two other bells, you can give it the two person and the two passes with you." I said.
She saw through the test.
"It's either all of us pass or just me." Ikeri said, holding on tight to the bells.
"Very well then, I'll keep the two bells. We'll continue after lunch. However Naruto doesn't get lunch, for trying to eat lunch on your own. No one is to feed Naruto or that person will be failed immediately." I smirked, taking the two bells from her before handing out lunch.
"Ikeri you come with me."
She nodded and walked away with me. I desperately wanted to ask her about the genjutsu but I doubt she'll admit anything.
"Let's see." I mumbled, narrowing my eyes.
"You wanted to see if they have team work right? Even though you said not to feed Naruto they're supposed to feed him am I right?" She suddenly said.
"Yes."
Ikeri POV
Not long after, Sasuke and Sakura shared their lunches with Naruto. Kakashi stormed in blah blah blah. He was acting so dramatic. Well I just walked out normally like nothing was happening.Kakashi POV
"He meant you passed." She said with an emotionless face. She didn't seem one bit glad that her team passed with her.
But I must admit she has impressive observation though.
I nodded with my famous one eyed smile. They all had shocked faces.
"But why? We didn't get the bells." Sakura said.
"Teamwork." She stated. Her voice had so much coldness in them it could've made me shiver.
"Teamwork is very important on missions. If a team doesn't have teamwork it may result failure of missions and casualties." Kakashi said.
Then we moved on to the memorial stone. I wanted to tell them about it and explain a little more as well.
"This is the memorial stone. Names of KIA heroes are all carved here." I explained.
I miss you guys so much, Rin, Obito. These are my new genin, they passed the test, they had teamwork.
Then I looked up at them, Ikeri looked as if she was looking for someone's name. I thought she doesn't remember anything? Why would she be looking for someone's name?
Ikeri POV
'I wonder if they have big brother's name there.' I thought and started to look for Shisui's name.
I couldn't find it.
"How disappointing." My thought slipped out of my mouth.
Even though big brother died by suicide, he was still a hero. He's why I'm here today. Why I have my sharingan, mangekyou and eternal mangekyou. But I guess some normal konoha shinobi wouldn't understand, not like they even knew why big brother chose suicide.
"What's disappointing?" Sasuke looked over suspecting me.
"I'm going to get my name up there. Believe it!" Naruto said, saving me from telling Sasuke what he wouldn't understand.
I glared at Naruto though. He wants to become hokage yet he wants to get killed. Is he insane? Actually never mind, he's just an idiot.
"Naruto. KIA. It means they were all killed in action." Sakura explained.
"Oh..."
"Well in any case, Team 7 will start their first mission tomorrow!" Kakashi acting excited. When it's clearly written on his face that he isn't.
With that we were dismissed.
"Ikeri..." Kakashi started.
"Hm?"
"No. It's nothing." He said.
"Kakashi. You're missing someone aren't you?" I said.
It was written clearly on his face. But unobservant people or someone who didn't understand wouldn't see it.
He raised an eyebrow before speaking. "Yeah. It's my team. They're all dead now, I'm the only one left even though I don't deserve to live, I should've been the one that died."
He drowned himself in depressing again after finishing his sentence.
Kakashi POV
"Kakashi... You lived, they wouldn't be happy seeing you this way now would they? So just live your life to the fullest like how they would wish you to." Ikeri told me.
I brightened up a little. You could say she was the first to have ever brightened me up. Others tried but their words never seemed to touch my heart.
But one thing Ikeri said it so smoothly it was as if she has always been telling herself that. I wonder what really happened to her. I wish she would tell me.
