Chapter 7 [Zabuza and Haku]

Kakashi POV

I passed out shortly after the fight. I used up too much chakra.

When I woke up, I laid on bed, allowing my Ind to wander off. That was when I noticed that Zabuza might still be alive. That hunter-nin was a fake since hunter-nin usually takes care of things on the spot. I called them in only to have Naruto telling me Ikeri disappeared during the fight.

"We have to go look for Ikeri!" Naruto demanded

"We can't right now. She's probably been kidnapped by Zabuza. I suspect that hunter-nin is a fake and Zabuza is still alive. I don't know why they want Ikeri but I'll go look for her after I can start walking. You all going would be too dangerous. You don't stand a chance against Zabuza." I said.

'But neither does Ikeri.' I thought to myself. I don't know what I'd do if she dies. It'd be my fault, my responsibility.

Unless... It's possible... She could've been spying on us... We believed her so easily... She has so much information about us...

I shook my head to shoo away those thoughts. I should believe in her. She is a comrade.

"We'll train for the time being." I said. I'll teach them chakra control. That's the basics, so I took them to do the tree climbing practice. Ikeri will need to catch up when she gets back.

Ikeri POV

After Haku took Zabuza he came to me and took me too. We arrived at a house nearby. From the looks of it, it's been abandoned. But inside it was actually clean and new. Haku laid Zabuza down on the bed and untied me.

So Zabuza wasn't dead and that means Haku wasn't a hunter-nin. He was just a fake. From their conversation it was said that Zabuza will be attacking again in a week after he heals. This information will be useful. If only I could get away from here and inform them.

"And may I ask why you need me here?" I asked.

"Oh you. You know you remind me of Itachi Uchiha." Zabuza said, trying to sit up but the shot of pain caused him to instantly regret his choice.

"How so?"

How do they know? Do I really look like papa? Will they expose my identity? What will happen if they do?

"Your fighting stance, formality, face, body shape and much more. But most importantly your eyes." Haku answered, sitting beside Zabuza, helping him wrap his wounds.

I didn't know I and papa had so much in common.

I stayed quiet and didn't reply. I didn't know what to reply with.

"Kid. I want to know your name." Zabuza turned his head, looking into my eyes.

"Ikeri." I replied. Ididn't say my surname. Well it is supposed to be a secret.

He frowned, glaring at me. "Surname."

I didn't reply. So Haku took out a katana. It wasn't just any katana, it was papa's katana. The one he used when he became anbu.

"How did you get that?" I asked, confused.

He smirked. "I have my ways. For you to recognize this katana. You must've known Itachi Uchiha. Haku is dead sure that you're related to him, so are you?"

"Must I answer?"

"No. But if you want this katana then yes." Haku bribed.

Damn you Haku, he must know I want to get papa's katana. I would take anything that belonged to papa.

I sighed. "But you're to promise not to tell anyone at all."

"Deal." Zabuza smirked.

"Ikeri Uchiha. Daughter of Itachi Uchiha." I said.

"So you are related. Haku you've got good eyes." Zabuza smirked, getting Haku handed the katana over to me.

I held the katana in my hands before hanging it onto my back.

"What now? Would you just let me go that easily?" I asked. It was sort of a rhetorical question since I knew they wouldn't just let me go like that.

"No. You're coming with us." Zabuza said, shooting me a deadly look.

"Why do you want me? Sasuke is an Uchiha too." I stated, completely surprised at their determination to get me.

"Kid but you're better. Haku saw how you fought the two guys in your way to the land of waves. You even had your sensei and the rest under your genjutsu without them even noticing. The two guys you fought were A ranked they're not the people some random genin can beat." Zabuza said.

They saw? I didn't see that coming for sure. I sat on the ground starring at it.

"I want you to join us." 

To be completely honest, I would join them if I wasn't already at konoha. If I did join them now, konoha will suspect me and they'll eventually find out and come after me. That'll be too troublesome. Staying at Konoha is the best choice. Besides I can't find the answer if I'm not at konoha and I do have to retrieve shisui's other eye. That'll be the only way I get my eternal sharingan in both eyes. I wouldn't want Danzo to be using Shisui's eyes for his own use either. So I can't join them.

"And what if I say no?"

"You can't. You're in a room with me and Zabuza the master of the silent kill." Haku said with an innocent smile.

"Actually you underestimated me. I can, without needing to get into a fight with any of you. I even have more than one way." I chuckled, standing up.

I really do. I can use my mangekyou and teleport out or I can use Kotoamatsukami on Haku since Zabuza can't move either ways. But Kotoamatsukami takes too long to launch so I'll just teleport away. But I'll stay a little longer to see if I can get more information.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Haku immediately threw me into a room nearby and slammed the door.

Then I heard footsteps. There were visitors?

"I paid for you to kill him not stay in bed licking your wounds!" I heard a man from outside yell.

I couldn't really hear too much but it sounds like it would be Gato.

"Ahhh! Your going to break it!" The man shrieked.

That was all I heard before the footsteps trailed off. It wasn't long before Haku opened the door, letting me out.

"Was that Gato?" I asked, walking out of the room.

Haku nodded, looking sorry. "I apologise for throwing you in."

I scanned the surrounding once more before activating my mangekyou sharingan.

"Thanks for the care but I'm afraid I have to get going now. See you in a week. Get well soon but not too soon." I said teleporting myself somewhere, anywhere. Before I teleported away I saw Haku leapt towards me attempting to grab me. Well too bad even if he did manage to grab me I would still be able to teleport away.

The katana though. I'm still curious one how they got it? Well in any case it's now very precious to me. It's the only thing I have that belonged to papa, besides myself that is.
