Chapter 31 [Mystery]

Ikeri POV
It's been almost two years since the war ended. Kakashi became the sixth hokage. Naruto's studying in order to be better at his studies. Naruto has also started a family with Hinata. They didn't have kids yet but they were married. Sakura was engaged with Sasuke. However, Sasuke didn't stay in the village. He's still roaming around, he said it was his 'punishment'. On the other hand, I was an anbu but Captain like to make me Captain and let me do his job. I don't mind so I guess I was technically Captain too. But that's only my 'part time' job. My 'full time' job is the hokage's body guard. I'm only on call when he has meetings or so, other times I'd be anbu captain.

There's been nothing but peace in the shinobi world but the securities were all tighten. The war left a scare on each and every one of them. After all, many lives were lost just to obtain this peace. It's a mystery how that works honestly.

"Captain? Didn't you say there was somewhere you needed to go?" An anbu approached me, breaking my row of thoughts.

That's right, I wanted to pay a visit to Shin sensei. Shin sensei was released from jail soon after Kakashi became hokage. After he was released, he went back to being sensei.

I nodded to the anbu. Saying my goodbyes, I left the anbu main building. It was a building for anbus to train in. It was only newly developed around this year.

"Shin sensei!" I waved.

He turned around, waving back to me as I walked over. He was with team 7, his genin team. Coincidence how they're also team 7.

"Hello Eri, Haru and Kim." I greeted them. They were Team 7. They were friends ever since they were kids so they were pretty close and their team work was great.

"Care to join us for some chores?" Shin sensei chuckled. Placing his hand on my head. He was taller than I am, I guess I was pretty short for a shinobi but that doesn't stop me from being one. I can be as good despite being short. In fact, being smaller means it's easier to slip away in a fights during training.

"Chores? Come on, we all know your team is capable of something more than just chores." I said, activating my sharingan.

"Not again." Shin sensei said, dropping his head onto his hands, face palming.

Team 7 got into fighting stance, they knew I was going to 'play' with them again.

I teleported behind Haru. Haru, having fast instincts naturally, turned around, throwing a fist at me. I dodged it, along with the other that he threw at me. Kim, from far off threw a kunai at me.  I caught the kunai in between my index and middle finger, kneeling down to dodge Haru's fist. Eri threw shurikens at me from behind. I jumped, turning at the same time, throwing Kim's kunai that u caught at Eri, using my other hand to block Haru's fist. Landing softly on the ground, I ducked, rolling out of the circle they surrounded me in.

"You all improved so much!" I complimented. The last time I didn't even have to use this much energy.

"Of course! We trained hard you know! We're going to beat you one day!" Haru yelled, receiving agreeing nods from his friends.

I smiled, "Got to go now. You should teach them some of your tricks, Shin sensei."

He chuckled, "They can't handle it, not yet. Visit again soon, see ya!"

I teleported off again. Honestly, that genin team exceeds normal genin team. It's a mystery.

"Hey Kakashi." I greeted, entering his office.

"Finally someone who would call me by my name!" He burst out, causing a few papers to fly off from his pile of work. He does stuff alower than Tsunade does. I mean it made sense if he was going to be reading his Icha Icha paradise all the time.

"Ikeri please respect Lord six." Shizune bursted out this time.

"So what do you need Kakashi?" I asked, ignoring Shizune.

Kakashi started looking through his pile of paper. Finally finding something, he took it and showed it to me. "Sasuke needs some supplies. He's in the middle of nowhere and he ran out of supplies."

"And he expects me to find him?" I rolled my eyes, taking the paper before heading out.

I got most of the supplies pretty quickly since I knew exactly where to get them. Sasuke better be grateful. I teleported over to him, handing the stuff over before teleporting off immediately. Didn't want to stay in that place a second longer. It was crawling with bugs. Disgusting to be in such a place.

It was night time when I reached home and I guess I was tired so I went to bed. Little did I know about what was going to happen.

Midnight...

I was sleeping peacefully before I had a dream. I tried to wake up immediately but was stuck, in the dream. Around me was all dark, there was nothing but a person. I couldn't see his face but he spoke to me. At this point, when he was talking, I don't know whether if it was on purpose or accidentally but I could see his tongue.

I woke up, rolling off my bed due to the intense pain that suddenly jolted me. It was from my hand. There was a kunai stuck in my hand. A kunai stab shouldn't have given me that much pain. After all, pain doesn't effect me that much.

'It's either I've gone completely insane or someone's trying to hunt me down.' I thought, pulling the kunai out before proceeding to wrap my hand with bandage. Also, changing into my normal clothes.

"I knew you'd be here."
