Chapter 15 [Unexpected turn]

Ikeri POV
I woke up, feeling better than before. I got up looking for Kakashi only to find that he wasn't home.

"Pakkun. Where's Kakashi?" I asked Pakkun who was enjoying his food.

"Kakashi went out to meet Sasuke. Why?" He said, not looking up from his food.

"Nothing much." I replied casually, going back to my room.

That was when I noticed a note. A note for me? Could it be from Kakashi? I quickly grabbed the note before starting to read through. Tears started to form in my eyes before I rubbed them away. I grabbed the note and ran out of the house. To where? I don't know. But he was here. He was definitely here. He shouldn't have gone far could he? I got to meet him, I'm sure that he'll be with him.

I ran pass konoha hospital. There was a room filled with people. My instincts told me that there could possibly be a clue there.

I ran there, inside I found Gai, Asuma, Kurenai and Kakashi. Kakashi was on the bed, he seemed to be suffering from pain yet he didn't have any wounds. I glanced over at Gai, Kurenai and Asuma.

"Who did this?" I spoke as fast as I could, trying to catch my breath at the same time.

"Itachi Uchiha." Asuma replied, his face full of worry and anger.

It's the Tsukuyomi. I turned around to see Sasuke had overheard our conversation. He immediately ran out of the room, only to have me chasing after him.

How did he even know where he's going? I didn't really care at that point. I just chased after him. He ought to be heading to him.

Soon, we arrived at an inn before Sasuke stopped at the counter to ask where Naruto is. The akatsuki most likely sent them after Naruto, so it was reasonable for them to be near Naruto. Smart move Sasuke.

Sasuke ran and ran, he the approached a room. However, Naruto wasn't inside it was an old man. Another room, it was a baby and the mother. Another room, it was kids playing with each other. He was about to give up until he heard a loud bang.

I didn't wait for him to react. I ran passed him up the stairs.

I held in my tears. I saw him. Papa. He was there. After so long. I finally saw him again...

He gave me a sad smile before keeping it. Sasuke came rushing behind me to Itachi with chidori.

"I'm going to kill you!" He screamed, his face full of hate and anger, dragging chidori across the walls.

I was about to step in front of him and send my own chidori at him but before I could Kisame held me back. I couldn't move. No matter how many times this happened he always manages to hold me back. It pisses me off.

Papa ran ahead to Sasuke, Sasuke still had his chidori activated, papa could get himself killed! I was about to yell but Kisame stopped me.

"Let Itachi handle it on his own."

I closed my eyes to stopped tears from rolling down to my cheeks. My heart was racing and aching.

Kisame didn't let me go, knowing that I'd run off to help papa. Only when Jiraiya, one of the legendary sannin appeared then Kisame let me go. I can't help papa now, not in front of a legendary sannin.

Sasuke had already passed out. Papa used Tsukuyomi on him like he did to Kakashi.

Papa and Kisame were about to leave but were stopped when Jiraiya turned the place into a frog's stomach. Jiraiya said that no one ever made it out of the mouth alive.

However that did not stop papa and Kisame from getting out. Papa just used amaterasu and burnt a part for him to escape. He gave a a sad glance before leaving.

"Kisame... Is it true?" I asked, activating my mangekyou. They can't see me, not in the mist of this smoke. If he wasn't going to tell me I'll make him tell me.

Kisame sighed, turning back, giving me a sad look.

"Yeah." He replied before leaving as well.

I closed my eyes. Tears we're going to roll down my cheeks. I couldn't let them drop, not now, not when Jiraiya is here. I'd be suspicious.

"Who are you?" Jiraiya asked, coming from behind with Naruto. I immediately deactivated my sharigan and turned behind looking at them, about to answer his question.

"That's Ikeri. She's really strong." Naruto answered for me.

"Mhm? How so?"

"She managed to get the bells from Kakashi sensei during the bell test." Naruto exclaimed excitedly in admiration.

"Oh? How about coming along with us to search for Tsunade then?" Jiraiya offered, smirking.

Tsunade. One of the legendary sannin and she's also the best at medical ninjutsu. Maybe she can...? I'll have to bet on it.

"I'll teach you a powerful jutsu." Jiraiya added on seeing that I didn't really react much. Bribing me? Really?

After the smoke cleared, Gai and a few other jounin came, they left taking Sasuke back to the hospital.

Jiraiya, Naruto and I left as well, to the next village.

'I'm sorry Kakashi, you'll have to wait for me a little longer.'

We went to several gambling stations but still couldn't find Tsunade. It was already evening so we decided to do some training before we proceed.

Jiraiya gave me and Naruto each a water balloon. He then demonstrated that we had to pop the balloon using the rotation of chakra.

Jiraiya was about to leave us to do his 'research' before I popped the balloon.

He looked at me, laughing slightly. "That's impossible."

I looked at him casually as if it wasn't anything new. He only narrowed his eyes slightly before smirking.

"Wow!" Naruto exclaimed. "Alright I'm going to do it too."

"I guess Naruto was right." Jiraiya mumbled under his breath a little too loud.

"I was right? About what?" Naruto asked confused.

It only took me a few tries to pop the balloon. Honestly it wasn't that hard. You just had to rotate your chakra at both directions rapidly and the water balloon would pop.

"The next step is to pop this." Jiraiya said, demonstrating it on a baseball before handing one over to me.

"It's about the power you put into your chakra." I stated before he could explain.

"Impressive. Yes."

I stuffed the baseball inside my pocket.

"Let's go search for Tsunade first. We can continue this training later."

Jiraiya shot a suspicious look at me. I glared at him in return.

Jiraiya POV
That glare... It wasn't just any normal glare. The coldness in it, I can't even express it in words.
