Only Fear

RECAP

"Sweet heart is everything ok in there?" Rey heard Poe's voice.

"Who is that?" She watched as Ben's face turned into a muderous scowl.

RECAP OVER

I looked towards the door quickly in shock and watched as Ben gripped his hands into a tight fist. We stood opposite to each other near the furthest wall of the room. The room was small so the distance between us and the door was very short. 

"Hellloooo" Poe asked 

I was to frightened to speak. 

"Ok I'll hold" He joked [that is a movie reference]

I silently pleaded for Poe to go away. 

"Answer it Rey he sounds very eager to see you" Ben said in a taunting manner with his jaw clenched emphasising the word 'eager'. His face was dangerously calm. To calm.

"Coming!" I shouted. I quickly walked towards the door and opened it just enough to peak through. I could feel Ben's presence behind me while I prayed that he would stay silent and out of sight. Sadly that all went to waste.

"Stay away from her" Ben spoke in a dangerously low voice.

I looked sadly at Poe only to realise that he was completely unfazed. I looked back at Ben to see his surprised face change to a dangerous scowl. 

"Soooooo are you ok?" Poe asked feeling awkward due to the silence.

"Poe didn't you hear what he said?" I asked him worried that we was being arrogant and challenging Ben.

"Who said what now?" He laughed and looked around my room. "I heard you yell and I thought someone was hurting you. I thought I might check but everything seems clear" He said in a relieved voice while peering over my shoulder to look into the room. Behind me Ben towered over my small figure. Poe looked right through him.

"He can't see me?" Ben said in bewilderment. "He can't hear me either" I watched as Ben walked through me so that he was no longer behind me but we were now face to face. He was much taller than Poe so he had to bend down so that  I was looking into his and Poe's eyes at the same time.

"Rey are you ok why were you screaming?" He asked and reached out to softly grab my arm. I could not help but look weirdly at Poe. Ben went through everything as if he was a hologram and now he stood in Poe's spot. 

"Tell him to go away" Ben warned. 

"Everything is fine I am sorry I worried you" I said sincerely trying my hardest to ignore Ben which only seemed to anger him further. 

"Thats fine. I'm sorry I woke you up. I must have heard something else" He turned around to walk away. I let out a breath of relief. Ben watched as he walked away glaring at his back. Just as I was about to close the door Poe runs his hand through his hair multiple times. He lets out a groan of frustration and quickly turns back to me straightening his back. Surprising both Ben and I. 

"Hey Rey I was thinking" He said and paused. He breathed in and out deeply and unevenly. I could sense that he was nervous. Ben was glaring right into Poe's face almost urging him to sense his presence. 

"I was wondering if you were free tomorrow night?" Poe asked while nervously playing with his jacket. 

"I uh" I was speechless and did not know how to answer. 

"You are NOT free Rey" Ben yelled at me. 

"I mean we will be on the Falcon for a while and I figured why let that stop us from having a good time you know like .... dinner or..... anything" He nervously spoke. Rushing his words while scratching the back of his neck and looking down.

Surely he only meant it in a friendship kind of way. 

"Yeah of course I'm free there really is not much to do around here anyway" I spoke in a cheerful tone hoping to make Poe feel more comfortable. 

Ben seemed to have lost all restrain he had and shot out at Poe. He tried his hardest to punch him or hurt him but I would not allow the connection to be strong enough for him to touch anything. 

"AGHHHH" Ben yelled out in frustration looking at me in pure rage. 

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS! YOU JUST SAID YOU LOVED ME! TELL HIM TO GO AWAY REY! SEND HIM AWAY!" He screamed in my face. 

I tried my hardest to keep a straight face and look into Poe's eyes. 

"Wow thats great. I will see you tomorrow than" Poe said and gave me one last look before looking away. 

"Have a good night Rey" He said before I closed the door and he disappeared from my sight. 

Now I was left to battle another beast. The dark haired mysterious man with the tousled soft hair that I dreamed so much of. He looked at me with absolute hate as if warning me. I looked at him defeated. 

"I don't want to do this either but it will make it easier for the both of us to move on" I spoke and made my way to bed.

"I AM NOT MOVING ON! I WILL NOT LET YOU TEAR US APART!" He yelled.

"I will see you tomorrow night" He said as our connection slowly started to break off. "And if you go with him" He said and turned to me as be began to fade away. "He will be the first to die when I come to retrieve you".

As he faded away his dark eyes penetrated my soul leaving me frightened. He was warning me. He had showed me Kylo Ren. For that moment I saw the Kylo Ren that terrorised the galaxy, that forced fear into anyone who heard or spoke his name. For that moment I did not feel love for him. Only fear.
