[RECAP]

 The pain was unbearable and they continued to shock me, stab me and cut me. I soon lost my voice and my throat was raspy and all I could do was cry until everything went dark.

[RECAP OVER]

BEN POV

"Sir the procedure is finished, the girl should awaken late this afternoon" The General said. 

I was in my room facing the window that gave a beautiful view of the stars with my back facing the General. I simply nodded my head and he walked away leaving me alone. As soon as the door closed I collapsed onto the ground grabbing at my chest. My heart hurt so much and my whole body was filled with pain. I tried my hardest to take some the pain away from Rey but even I could not bear it. I felt her emotions, every second of them. I was emotionally and physically exhausted. I slowly walked to my bed praying that the procedure had worked. 

A FEW MINUTES LATER

"Open the chamber doors" I commanded to the troops and soon the doors were opened. What I saw almost broke my heart and made me collapse. Rey was still out cold. Her eyes closed, her body slightly twitching from a nightmare and the after effects of the procedure. Her body was covered in sweat and her face was stained with old tears. 

"Leave" I commanded the guards with a  sharp tone that made them leave quickly and quietly. 

I walked towards Rey and washed her face with a cloth. I took my mask off so that my face would be the first thing she would see when she wakes up. I took off the restraints and sat her on a nearby seat that I had told the guards to bring in. I sat her down and put the hand restraints onto her. Than I stepped back and waited for her to wake. 

REY POV

"Choose the decision that would make you genuinely happy" She gripped my hand and said in a soft tone that held a strong sense of finality."

"Yes I'm with the resistance my name is Finn" 

I slowly opened my eyes to be greeted with blearing lights that stung my eyes and a pounding pain in my head. I slowly turned my head stretching my body out. It wasn't until I moved my arms that I realised they had restraints on them. I looked around and saw a man looking at me. 

"Ben" I sighed out in relief, happy to see someone familiar. The words had escaped my lips without thinking. I was so confused and I couldn't remember anything, so how did I know his name. How did I know him?

I sat up out of the chair and looked closer at my hands. They were scarred and bruised and my whole body still felt exhausted and in pain and the searing pain in my head still hurt. 

"What happened?" I ask him. 

He was dressed in frightening dark robes and held a mask. He placed it on a table and walked towards me. I knew that I was supposed to fear him but I felt comfortable and safe. He bent down and gave me a hug. His grip was tight and although I could not hug him back because my arms were restrained I put my face into the crook of his neck. 

"What happened?" I asked him again as we both pulled away. We both needed that hug. I don't know why but the tension between us had gone after it and I felt much better physically as if he had given me strength. 

"The rebels" He spat out "They took you away from me" He said with his tone becoming lighter and stroking my face with gentle eyes. 

"Why would they do that? I was with them, we were saving the last of the rebellion" I said remembering the last battle in which Luke had died and the Rebellion was saved. 

"Yes but after their agenda had changed and now they fight to destroy the galaxy. You reached out to me using the force and told me that they had taken you as a prisoner after you tried to leave" He said in a worried voice. 

"When I came to rescue you I told them that I just wanted you.." He said and paused clearly not wanting to recall the last part of the story. "But they were not ... co operative and we killed them all" He said and held my hand. 

I sat there in silence. They were dead. They were evil. What now? I asked myself. 

"You join me" Ben had answered clearly reading my thoughts. 

"Ben you are on the dark side and I don't want to be evil" I claimed not wanting to hurt innocent people. 

"The rebellion is still fighting to take over the galaxy and destroy it" He argued. "The dark side is the lesser of two evils" He said. 

"Just give me some time, I feel confused. There is this large hole missing in my head. We had won the battle and now I'm here. I don't know why I can't remember" I said while looking around and realising that this was the room he had first interrogated me in.

"In the battle to get you back the rebels had thrown you out of the Falcon. You landed on your back and your head hit the rocks." He said in a sad tone. 

"They what!" I yelled out. 

"We told them to hand you over and they did. They threw you out of the Falcon at a very high altitude hoping to kill you in return" He said with his hands beginning to clench. "It was the boy, Finn. Him and two other people. a girl and another man who is a pilot. They were the ones to throw you out" He said in a sad tone knowing that I had a close relationship with Finn. 

"No this, this can't be right" I cried. "T-they're my friends" I said as I gripped my hands. As I cried and spoke I knew I sounded so childish and so immature but I felt so hurt. Ben gave me a tight hug as I cried into his arms. He took off my restraints and I was finally able to wrap my arms around his body. 

"They wouldn't Ben, t-they wouldn't, You j-just made a m-mistake" I stuttered as I cried trying to catch my breath.

"I'm sorry Rey but it's the truth" He said and began to rub my back in soothing circles. 

I continued to cry into his arms and held him tight. I had no one but him now. I felt so hurt and alone. 

"Don't worry Rey. I took care of them. You will never have to see them again" He said breaking the hug between us and kissing me on the cheek. 

"Thank you"
