Once again I was awoken by my alarm clock. God I hate that thing. I slammed the button to silence it, and put my glasses on groggily. Man I hate mornings. I got out of my warm comforable bed and stomped down the stairs. There was Alex making coffee, looking incredably breathtaking at this godforsaken hour, which just made me hate him even more.
"Good morning." He greeted with a sly grin.
"Fuck you." I spat. I was not not a morning person.
"Wow two 'fuck you's in a row. Nice to know you care." He said with a small giggle. I flipped him off while making myself a 'healthy' breakfast which consisted of Lucky Charms.
"Wait a minute, are those glasses?" He asked with a laugh.
"Wow, after god know how long you've been alive, you still don't know what glasses are." I retorted.
"They're sexy, they make you look like a secretary about to be in a porno." He giggled. I just scoffed and continued eating my 'nutritious' breakfast as Dylan came down. After many efforts at getting Ashley out of bed, she finally complied. I got dressed, swaped my glasses for contacts, and then the four of us headed out. Alex insisted on walking me to Biology, I think he just wanted to annoy me as much as he can. While on the way to class, he made sure to walk behind me, I could feel his eyes on my ass. Once I realized what he was doing, I charged through a bunch of people and got lost in the crowd. While I was in biology I was able to be away from Alex for a while...at least my body was away from him. My mind deffinatly wasn't. I didn't know why, but I couldn't go more than ten seconds without thinking about him, and it annoyed the shit out of me. After class was over, I reluctantly gathered my things and walked out into the hall. There was Alex waiting right outside the door for me.
"Hey." He said, somehow managing to be inccredibly irritating and attractive at the same time. I just made a disapproving noise and walked to math without looking at him. I sat between two peole so that Alex wouldn't sit next to me, but he just compelled a kid out of their seat and sat on my right. I did as I had done yesterday, I brought my hair around my souldier and looked down. After a painful forty-five minutes, class was over and we were free for lunch. During the swarm of people, I was able to lose him in again. I decided to head for a nearby Apple Bees. When I walked in and gave my name, the waiter smiled brightly.
"Come, we've already got a table ready for you."
I was stuck in pure confusion following the waiter. As soon as I saw Alex sitting at a table at the very back, I knew what was up.
"Please, sit." He invited. I sighed and slumped into the chair infront of him.
"I hope you don't mind Jess, I ortered you this weird shrip lemon salad shit I don't know." He informed, never taking his beautiful eyes off me, wait. Beautiful? No. He never took his irritating eyes off me. Yeah, irritating. The waitress brought us our food but I didn't touch mine.
"Eat, Jess." He ordered. I just glared and pushed it away.
"Eat." He said, his tone getting angrier. I crossed my arms.
"Alright if that's how you want to play it," He said before grabbing a passing girl and pulling her onto his lap. He grabbed her hair and streached her neck out just below his mouth and unsheathed his fangs. The poor girl's breathing grew heavy and tiny wimpers escaped her mouth.
"Eat or I'll kill her." He stated.
"Let her go." I said, forcing my voice not to shake.
"Hmm I'm getting thirsty, she looks so good. She smells good too. I think I'll just have one bite." He said, he was about to bite into her before,
"Wait stop!" I heard myself say. His eyes flicked up to mine, triumph ringing in them. His eyes flicked down at food and then back up to me. I took my fork and stabbed a piece of shrimp. I suddenly wasn't hungry anymore but I forced it down my throat. He imeadiatly released her and continuted as if nothing had happened.
"You see that wasn't so hard." He said, retracting his fangs. I just sat there and made myself eat half of the salad while he sat there smirking at me knowing he had won this battle.
