"You guys better tell me what's going on, you're scaring me." I said uneasily.
"Good. You should be scared." Rian stated. They led me to the living room and we all sat on the couches and chairs.
"Alright so these hunters aren't normal hunters. They're vampires too, like your dad." Alex explained.
"But they drink vampire blood which makes you even stronger. The reason vampires don't just prey on each other is because one: vampire blood tastes like shit to us, and two: It comes with a price." Zack said
"If a vampire drinks another vampire's blood, they're plagued with horrific night terrors. Absolutely terrible. But the terrors only last as long as the blood is in your system. I know because I tried it. The terrors and the taste aren't worth it for most vampires, well except for them." Jack told.
"So anyway, years ago, back in the middle ages when everyone was flipping shit because of vampires, if there was even the slightest whisper that there was a vampire in a village, then the Lawlers would come and burn the village to the ground. But not for the eradication of vampires, no they just used that as a cover story, they just loved it. They loved burning and killing and selling people into slavery. Soon enough they became the most feared people in the country." Rian said.
"I was there." Jack said, his voice uncharacteristically small. "I was there when my village was burned. I watched them kill, I watched them burn, I watched them sell girls to bandits to be raped, I saw people being raped. I watched them torture, that's actually where I met Alex." He nodded to Alex who was sitting next to me.
"Y-you were?" I stuttered.
"Where do you think I learned all my tricks?" He replied sadly.
"Oh." I whispered.
"Anyway, I watched my mother and father be drowned right in front of me, they were going to do the same to me but Alex saved me."
"What?" I asked.
"Jack was only ten at the time. I didn't have a problem hurting adults but he was just a kid." Alex said looking down.
"So that's my story, but anyway, Alex decided that he didn't want to be with people who were torturing three year olds, not even kidding, they were literally flaying a three year old, so he left."
"Now they're pissed. They tend to hold grudges." Alex said.
"You guys." I whispered.
"They're tough, they're strong, and they're extremely hard to kill. But we have to." Rian explained.
"Okay. Whats the plan?" I asked.
"Well, First we want to get them in the open, then we'll attack them head on." Alex said.
"Okay first, that's the stupidest plan I've ever heard, and second, what about my dad?" I asked.
"Ugh." Alex scoffed.
"He's my father Alex, we have to save him." I insisted.
"Yeah I know, I know." He mumbled.
"I'll get him over here tonight. Tell him we have information." I proposed.
"In here?" Alex asked.
"Where else is he supposed to go!" I squeaked.
"Fine." Alex sighed.
"So what are we doing about Lawlers?" Zack asked.
"Well we aren't meeting them head on! That's insanely stupid!" I exclaimed.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Rian asked.
"I don't know but you guys wouldn't stand a chance against them!" I cried.
"We have to try!" Alex insisted.
"If you do that, you'll get yourself killed." I answered shortly.
"Then the answer is simple." Jack mumbled.
"What?" We all asked in unison. He hung his head and spoke,
"We'll have to face the night terrors and drink vampire blood."
