Why Do You Do This To Me

The next morning I woke up with a massive hangover. It would've been worse without the coffee but it still wasn't the most fun thing. I was getting dressed but my necklace wasn't around my neck. I started searching for it frantically before spotting in my bed side table.

Weird

I checked my phone, Alex sent me a text saying he was bringing the guys over. After meeting them, I decided that Alex's friends were actually really cool. I thought they'd just be other versions of him, but they were really awesome. They drank from blood bags so they didn't hurt anybody, so they were okay in my book.

Dylan and I had been acting lovey-dovey all day and Alex seemed royally pissed of about it. Dylan had advanced to giving me the occasional kiss on the cheek and every time he did this, Alex looked murderous. I however, began to feel safe again. Alex was keeping to his word about not killing me, unless I lose, I hadn't seen him since the store about a week ago, and Alex was starting to show weakness, proving to me that I had a shot at winning this bet. So overall it had been a pretty good couple of days. I was sitting on the counter in the kitchen brewing a cup of tea while talking to Dylan when Alex walked in. We instantly turned into 'Couple of the Year'. Alex scoffed and started making himself some coffee, I swear all that boy drinks is coffee and liqueur.

"What?" I asked, defensively.

"Nothing." He snapped.

"What is it, Gaskarth?" I asked again.

"You two, god you make me want to barf." He said, glaring at us.

"Why?" Dylan asked, clearly trying to get on his nerves.

"Why do you think dipshit?" Alex spat.

"It is us liking each other?" I asked. Alex raised his eyebrows causing me to smirk.

"Well then you'll really hate this." I said before placing my hand behind Dylan's neck and bringing him to me. I crashed my lips against his. His mouth started working in time with mine and he brought his arms behind my back and held me close. Alex made a disgusted noise before storming out. As soon as he was out of ear shot, Dylan and I laughed our asses off.

"Come on hot lips." I teased, giving him a wink, jumping off the counter and taking my tea to sit in the living room. This is when I received a frantic text from Ashley, telling me that she swore she saw Ashton Kutcher in the frozon aisle at the grocery store, and demanded that I come down. I hadn't been out of the house much lately so I decided to go down there just to see her disappointment when she realized that Ashton was in Italy.

I unlocked the door and walked in at nine o'clock, she insisted on going shopping, and we walked into the house but something felt...off.

"Ash, where's Dylan?" I asked, suddenly getting scared for him.

"He told me he was as Greg's house." She responded, sounding tense. Greg was Dylan's best friend, well best guy friend. I slowly walked up the stairs and once I reached the top, I heard a small shriek and a giggle coming from Alex's room. I cautiously walked up to his door, not really knowing what I'd find and opened it slowly. The sight I saw was sick. He was laying on his bed with two girls, all of them in their underwear and both girls were covered in bloody bite marks which littered their arms, legs, necks, and shoulders. They were obviously compelled because when Alex drank from one them, their smile would grow wide and the other girl would beg for him to drink from them instead. As soon as he noticed my presence he looked to me with a smirk

"Hey babe, come to join the party?" He asked, fangs unsheathed and blood running down his mouth.

"Girls?" I asked in the nicest voice I could muster. They both looked at me with huge smiles. "Why don't you go with Ashley? She'll get you cleaned up."

The girls looked to Alex, as if asking for permission. He nodded and they got up and exited the room followed by Ashley.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I spat.

"Being a vampire." He responded, licking blood off his fingers.

"Those are human beings!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, and I'm a vampire. Humans are my prey." He responded, blatantly.

"You can't fucking do that! Why don't you just drink from a shitting blood bag?" I nearly screamed.

"Because the 'shitting blood bags' don't taste as good as fresh blood!"

"You have to stop this. If you don't put an end to this, I will." I threatened. All of a sudden he was standing very close to me.

"What are you going to do? Kill me? Please, you've probably only killed like what? Three vampires? I've killed hundreds of hunters, not to mention all the humans and other vampires. You won't be a problem." He spat, his eyes flashing. I felt fear grow in my chest.

He's right. Who am I to take on someone as strong as him?

"Alex, this is your only warning. I'm tougher than a lot of hunters. You should know what you're getting into when you make me your enemy." I stated.

"Oh so you're using my first name now, I'm very scared." He mocked.

"If you knew, you would be." I lied before exiting his room and slamming his door shut. Okay he wouldn't be scared, but he would respect me more. I walked down the stairs and into the living room. Ashley had gotten the girls taken care of and sent them home. I plopped onto the couch next to Ash and she moved my legs up and over her lap.

"How'd it go?" She asked.

"Oh you know how it always does, arrogance and death threats." I replied. She smiled a bit.

"He's not going to stop." She said.

"I know he isn't. I have to end him." I responded sadly. I would be sad to see him go. There's just something about him that draws me near him, something about him that makes me feel safe, even though next to him is about as dangerous as you can get. But he isn't going to stop, and no matter how much I hate it. I have to kill him.
