"Jess you are the biggest fucking idiot in the history of fucking idiots." I heard Dylan scold after I told him about the bet Alex and I had placed.

"Damn it Dylan relax, you don't actually think I'd trust him not to kill me at the fist chance he gets! Besides, I only made the bet to save my ass; he was seconds away from snapping my neck!" I responded defensively, crossing my arms.

"What's going on?" Asked Ashley, walking into the kitchen. Dylan proceeded to tell her everything. Her eyes went wide.

"You fucking idiot!" He squeaked.

"That's what I said!" Dylan exclaimed.

"You guys are forgetting I did it to save my life. I didn't have much choice in the matter" I repeated, but the two of them were too busy wrapped up in their conversation about how I was, "a stupid fucking idiot" to the point where they really didn't give a shit about what I was saying.

"Ugh I'm getting no where with you." I huffed as I heard a knock on the door. To my great displeasure, I found Alex standing there, holding a box and carrying a duffel bag.

"What do you want, Gaskarth?" I spat.

"Now is that anyway to treat your new room mate?" He scolded playfully.

"Fucking what?" I gawked.

"Yep! I figured, what are the chances is there that she'll fall for me if she sees me only once a day? Well, actually one hundred percent, but I figured I should at least give you a chance at winning." He said in a very condescending tone.

"There is no fucking way I'm inviting you in. No way in hell." I stated. He's a vampire, he can't come in unless Dylan, Ashley, or I invite him in.

"I don't need your invitation." He said barging past me.

"I got it fixed with the headmaster. I hold partial ownership. Which means that I can invite anyone I want inside." He said smirking.

"Then we'll move." I stated.

"Not unless you want to live on the streets, there are no other empty houses."

"Yeah and I'm sure you had something so do with that." I mumbled.

"I may have had a hand in it." He said with a shrug.

"Ugh, I'll be in my room." I said stomping up the stairs.

"I'll be up with you in a few minutes babe!" He called after me.

"FUCK YOU!" I screamed.

"YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE, NOT NOW!" He yelled in response. I just slammed my door shut, boiling mad. Thinking I should put music on that reflected my mood, I put on American Idiot by Green Day. I sighed while the music took away all the anger. Music was my escape, music meant everything to me. I wasn't worried about him hurting Ashley or Dylan, we have a stake down there and a year ago, I gave them some vampire slaying training...After he came. I shuddered at the memories and American Idiot ended. I listened to see what song came on next and surprise, surprise, 'I miss you' by Blink came on. I sighed because despite all that he'd done to me, all the pain he caused me, I still missed him. While 'Only One' By Yellowcard was playing, I heard someone pound at me door. It was too loud to be Ash or Dylan so I knew it was Alex.

"Go away." I said.

"Open the door or I'll bust it off it's hinges." He stated. I didn't want to risk him sneaking peaks after showers so I reluctantly opened the door. He walked right in my room without being invited in, as usual.

"No way." He said looking at my speakers. He even checked my iPhone which was plugged into them.

"What?" I asked.

"There is no way in hell you like good music." He said spinning around the room looking at all my posters.

"You like these bands? I thought vampires liked opera or classical shit." I replied completely baffled.

"Fuck no." He laughed, "You know Tom from Blink-182?"

"Is this a trick question?" I responded, peeved. Of course I knew who Tom was.

"Yeah well, he's a vamp." He laughed at my expression.

"What?" I asked.

"Yeah, a vampire. I caught him chewing on some girl after one of his shows, the dude actually tried to kill me before he realized what I am. We're good friends now." He grinned. I blinked slowly.

"So you caught him eating a girl, he tried to kill you, you're friends now?" I said in summery. He nodded, holding in laughter. I couldn't help it. I laughed too, maybe it was the stress, or the lack of sleep I had gotten the previous night, but I couldn't stop. After I gained my self control and whipped the tears from my eyes, he gave me a sweet smile. Then everything stopped. His eyes were locked with mine. Time completely froze. It's like I didn't even need to breath anymore. He gave me a soft look, before kissing my cheek and exiting. The place his lips had touched was on fire, sparks filling my entire body, and my heart fluttered.

Wait what? He kissed my cheek. He kissed me... It was nice. JESS STOP IT. He's playing you. Don't let him in, don't let get get you. You remember what happened last time that happened.

I grimaced at the memories and lay down on my bed. Listening to Mayday Parade singing,

"Walk away, walk away. Don't let her get you."

I smiled. Oh how I can relate.
