Hey Dad, I was thinking. Maybe we shouldn't kill the vampire that I've told you about?
Hey Dad, let's give him one more chance. What do you say?
Hey Dad, I think we should let him live.
I've been going over things like this in my head trying to find the right words. But after all the things I've told him that Alex has done, there's no chance he'll let him live. I sighed and sent him a text telling him to meet me at the street corner by the bookshop.
This'll be fun.
"You want to what?" Dad asked, completely outraged.
"Dad listen-"
"No you listen. He's a vampire. He's killed so many people and you said it yourself, he isn't going to stop." He interrupted.
"That was before I talked to him. Dad he wants to change, he really does." I told him.
"He's a vampire." He stated.
"Yeah and so are you. Does that mean you're going to murder everyone? No. Let him have a chance."
"You've given him chances."
"That was before I talked to him! Dad, please don't hurt him!" I begged.
"He's compelled you hasn't he?"
"Dad no! I never take this off!" I exclaimed, fingering my necklace.
"Uh huh."
"Please listen. I had a heart to heart with him. He proved to me that I can trust him. He saved me from Brent. I really believe he wants to change!"
"You fell in love with him didn't you?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. My heart sped up.
"What? No I didn't!"
"Don't lie to me. I can hear your heart jump."
"Maybe my heart is speeding up because I'm angry that you aren't giving him a second chance when he really does want to change!" I exclaimed.
"I'll hear no more of this. My team and I will make a move against him tomorrow. Are you with us or not?"
Please Dad, please don't make me choose.
"I can't help you kill someone who wants to stop hurting people." I stated, I felt my body shaking.
How can he do this?
"Then you give me no choice." He stated.
"What are you doing?" I asked, he grabbed my arm and started pulling me away.
"NO DAD STOP!" I tried breaking away from him but his vampire strength allowed me no escape. I tried bending his arm the wrong way but he grabbed me with his other hand.
"Who taught you that? I did, and I know that if I add pressure here," He pressed a spot on my wrist that made me wince with pain, I didn't want to move because the slightest movement in the wrong way would send shooting pain up my arm "You won't do anything to get away."
He started leading me away again. To my great surprise, I spotted Alex sitting on a bench across the street reading. I knew if I called out to him, Dad would make an attempt on his life so I said the only thing I could think of,
"Ow."
Alex's head shot up and spotted me. I gave him a look to try to convey that I needed help and he apparently got the message because he raced over and stood right in front of my father.
