I stepped down the stairs to see Alex standing by the coffee maker looking drop dead gorgeous while wearing a maroon beanie that made him look like sex. It made me want to forget what a monster he is.

"Hey." He greeted.

"Yo." I replied, making my tea.

"What's the plan for today?" He asked, taking a sip of coffee.

"I don't know and why the hell, every time I come down in the morning are you always standing by that damn coffee maker?"

"Ahh, coffee is a vampire's best friend. It keeps our blood circulating, therefore keeping us warm and not deathly cold." He explained. "Why do you make tea every morning?"

"I spike it with vervain." I said, taking a sip of it.

"Why? You already wear a necklace." He asked.

"You never know when you might not have it on." I replied. He giggled for a second. I gave him a questioning look but he ignored it so I shrugged it off.

"What are you doing today?" I asked.

"There's a big party tonight that I am so not missing." He responded.

"But it's Sunday. We have class tomorrow."

"It'll be okay if I miss one day. Considering I've graduated from eleven colleges." He answered.

"Then why do you keep coming back?" I asked.

"College girls." He smirked and licked his lips. I rolled my eyes and took another sip.

"Hey don't knock them...Till you knock them." He winked.

"Oh my god." I whispered, walking away from him with a huge smile on my face.

I worked on my coursework till I was caught up. By that point, Ashley had had enough time to search up cats on the internet and beg me for one. I told her we'd see what Dylan thinks. I swear it's like Dylan is our parent. Alex left around five to go to the party. He had invited me but I turned down the offer because Ashley, Dylan, and I were going to hang out. And by 'hang out' we mean play numerous games of Mario Cart until our friendship was destroyed.

"Fuck this. Fuck you. Fuck everything, I'm fucking done." I ranted, storming up the stairs to go to bed at one am.

The next morning I padded down the steps to a hilarious site. Alex was sitting on the counter in what appears to be a dog suit while eating a bowl of Trix that I don't remember buying.

"Crazy night?" I asked with a smirk.

"SHH!! You don't have to shout." He whined.

"When did you get home?" I asked, putting the coffee on for him.

"Ten minutes ago." He mumbled.

"Oh today's going to be a tough one for you!" I laughed, earning a wince from him.

"I'm just going to stay home today and lay on my bed in misery and self-pity." He mum putting his bowl in the sink and walking upstairs while holding his head in one hand.

"Don't get too crazy up there!" I called after him.

"Shut up!" he responded.

After all my classes, I received a phone call from my father.
