"He killed her, now I'm going to kill him." I said to my dad through the phone.

"Alright sweetie but remember your training and...please be careful." He urged.

"Will do dad, love you."

"Love you too." After hearing his response, I hung up. I figured the best time to strike against Alex would be while he's sleeping, so I made plans to stay up. I tried not to think about how I felt. In all honesty, I really really didn't want to kill him, but I have to. It's my job as a hunter to kill anything supernatural. I really shouldn't be allowing Jack, Rian, or Zack to live but killing Alex will be emotionally exhausting enough. I had done everything I can think of to prepare which meant hiding vervain water and stakes everywhere in case something goes wrong. I told Dylan and Ashley my plan and I instructed them to go to a bar or club I also told them that they shouldn't come back till the next morning. I don't want them getting caught in the crossfire. They reluctantly agreed but made me promise not to die.

"What's for dinner?" Asked Alex walking into the kitchen, as if nothing was wrong.

"Fix it yourself." I muttered, typing up a paper. I saw him mouth a surprised 'okay' before walking out. I rolled my eyes and continued. After a couple hours I took my laptop upstairs to wait until around three am.

I got up carefully, took my stake, and tiptoed to Alex's room. Slowly opening the door and peeping in, I saw he was sprawled out on the bed asleep. I walked as silently as I could but halfway between his bed and the door, I stepped and the floor creaked. I froze. Alex moved a bit. For a terrifying second, I thought he woke, but he didn't. I slowly raised my foot off the spot of floor and luckily, I did it slow enough so that it made no sound. I breathed in relief and crept to his bed. I looked at him one last time. When he was asleep, there was no trace of arrogance. His features didn't seemed hard. Instead they looked soft. He looked innocent, almost like a child. His hair was messed up and it framed his face. His eyelashes dark against his pale skin. The thought of what I was here to do made my heart ache but I knew it was for the safety of everyone. I swallowed, raised my stake in the air and brought it down. But a second before it connected with his chest, his eyes opened and he grabbed the end. He pushed me away with enough force to send me into the wall, knocking the wind out of me. He faced me, gripping the stake in one hand.

"Don't you know, you shouldn't mess with a vampire?" He said, venom dripping from every word. His grip on the stake strengthened to the point where it gave a crack and then splintered into pieces. I gasped as he approached me.

"Why did you have to do that?" He asked sadly, looking into my eyes. His warm brown ones completely engulfing me. Plunging me into a sea of chocolatey brown.

"Why did you?" I whispered.

"I'm a vampire. I'm a predator." He spat. He studied me for a minute before a cruel, knowing smile broke across his face, "..And you're falling for me. You're falling and you can't stand that. I've killed, and done so much worse, and you actually care about me. You're falling for a killer. The predator of your spices and it's going against everything you've ever stood for. And it's killing you."

He's right. I was falling. Alex was like an ocean. So beautifully dangerous. He seems peaceful and he can be gentle when he wants to be, but as soon as I get in too deep he turns violent. He crashes and pushes me in ways I've never dreamed of. He pulls me under until I'm about to drown, then he lets go of me and lets me reach the surface just long enough to grasp a breath, before he pulls me under and I'm drowning again.

"They're human beings." I protested quietly, my voice weak from what he just said.

"They're prey...You're pray." he said as his eyes narrowed. His fangs came out and he jerked my head to the side to expose my neck. He wasted no time in sinking his fangs into me. The pain was unbearable but I made no sound. I couldn't move and the pain overtook me completely. I thought I would go insane at it and then the edge started to come off. The pain diminished to the point where it was a very dull ache. It almost didn't hurt at all but the effect it had...It was like I was hypnotized. My limbs felt heavy and I felt myself go limp. If it hadn't been for Alex holding me up, I would've collapsed to the ground. I could feel my consciousness fading. My hand slipped from his arm and his hair tickled my cheek. That was the last thing I remembered.
