May 26th 1967

Amelia made light conversation with the surrounding male guests including the boys from the band, she enjoyed talking to them and had missed it greatly. All of her cares had seemed to have flown out of the balcony window Paul had opened and she felt like she could do anything. It was almost as if she was slightly tipsy on the music and made her a little delirious.

"Having fun, Lia" Paul said snaking an arm around her waist.

"Indeed I am" she said turning so that she faced him and dropped her king arms around his smooth neck.

They swayed to the music that was starting to slow down for the more romantic side of the evening, or should we say early morning.

"The great thing is that I don't have to work tomorrow" Amelia finally said to him.

"Perhaps you could come down to my place? Or you could wait and see us in the studio when you get back to London" he suggested.

She pondered on the thought, "Paul you've just released a cracking album and now you're just going to, move on to a new one?" And question him.

He laughed at the ground, "I'm not just throwing it away, that album will always have a special place in my heart, but we are scheduled to have another album in the next few months to go with another film".

Amelia stepped back a little to look at him, "You're making another film?" .

"Yes we are" he chuckled.

"Lucky me, guess I'll have to watch another drug-induced motion picture and write about it" she smiled and Paul laughed at her remark, frankly she was correct.

"We can talk more about it some other time, right now I just want to be with you" He said placing his chin on her shoulder.

She closed her eyes and smiled at his gesture "Me too, I've missed this" She hummed.

Slowly but surely, Frank Sinatra's voice crept in through the sound system and the pair melted at their love for his music. "I've Got You Under My Skin" seemed rather fitting for the occasion and caused Amelia to wonder if someone was watching them. They moved to the rhythm as did other couples that suddenly appeared and scattered around them. Amelia hummed and quietly sang the melody and Paul joined her. She leaned to look at him and they locked eyes for the bridge as it built. He spun her around and danced her away like no tomorrow.

It was magical to say the least.

"Hey Lia" Paul whispered in her ear.

"Yes?" She asked.

"It's two o'clock" he said and she frowned not knowing where he was going with this "karaoke time!"

The music came to a halt and Amelia's face fell as what looked like a swing band started to set up. Her palms grew sweaty with angst at the thought. The crowd had grown immensely and was full of every guest at the event.

"Good evening folks!" The guitarist said into the microphone as everyone cheered loudly.

"Who will be the first to start the show?" He asked looking around as other guests looked at each other.

"Go on Amelia!" John yelled from the corner causing others to join and soon chanting began.

"You should do it love, you'll be great!" Paul said to her quietly amongst the chaos.

Her heart was pounding but something was telling her to do it, "alright then".

The cheering and applause started up again as she reached the stage. She waved and smiled at the crowd who all seemed to be rather tipsy and made her giggle.
