Species Glossary:

True Sight

True Sight is the name given to those from the Underworld or Heaven that can see others like ghosts and can know when someone is a vampire or warlock whereas all other mundanes see these things but don’t recognise them as weird or abnormal. Those who aren’t otherworldly and have the True Sight, whenever they use the True Sight, their eyes turn rainbow as in they can see all the colours of the world and all species that live there.

Human/mundane

Humans are the only living species in the Homo genus. Humans are known as mundanes to those with the True Sight. They have a highly developed brain and are capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and problem solving. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the hands for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other living species on Earth. Other higher-level thought processes of humans, such as self-awareness, rationality, and sapience, are considered to be defining features of what constitutes a "person".

Vampire

Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether they are undead or a living person. They have super strength, speed and can compel people. Vampires can be known as different names, such as vrykolakas in Greece and strigoiin Romania. They have two fangs amongst their teeth that they use to pierce the skin of their next meal. Human blood is more powerful to vampires than animal blood or any other blood.

Demon

Demons are once fallen angels however have chosen to kill and drink the blood of their victims. Their eyes light up blood red when they are hungry and need to feed. They also receive these individual black markings all over their chest and back which show that they are demons. Demons hold the powers of compulsion and possession and they can also extend their nails into sharp claws whenever they please but usually use them to slice open the skin of their victims for easy access to feed on their humane blood.

Fallen Angel

A fallen angel is once an angel from heaven who was either an archangel or guardian angel. They can become a fallen angel from either deciding to rebel against the angels and heaven or by being cast out by the archangels due to something they have done or a crime/sin committed. Before falling, the archangels strip the soon-to-be fallen angel of their wings so they are therefore stuck in the mundane world and cannot return to heaven unless they somehow receive their wings back. A V-shaped scar is left where their wings used to be and if anyone with True Sight is to touch it, they will get to see a memory from the fallen angels past. The angel cannot choose what memory either. If a fallen angel decides to kill and drink the blood of mundanes, they then turn into a demon that relies on the blood of mundanes. Very rarely are demons created as only those who have read a chapter in the Book on Enoch know about the change. The Book of Enoch is kept locked in with the archangels and only few know of its existence whereas everyone else just believes it as myth.

Angel

An angel can be a guardian angel or of the higher level as an archangel. Guardian angels are set with the job of guarding a mundane that is in need of protection however the mundane is not able to neither see the angel nor know of its existence. The archangels decide on who needs a guardian angel and who doesn’t. The guardian angel is not allowed to leave its assigned subject and must always know where they are and what they are doing. If a guardian fails in their job, they are stripped of their black wings and are banished from heaven therefore becoming a fallen angel. Guardians have the same subject until the mundane dies and are then assigned a new one.
