*Gale's POV*
I’m pretty sure my heart had stopped beating. The world felt frozen, as if anything and everything that was once alive was now gone. It was like my whole world, was gone. I didn’t know what was going through my head as I ran, only the rage coursing through my body. It was like I couldn’t think, couldn’t feel. The only thing running through my mind was to find Myka and get revenge. I would not let her die. Just the thought of it made my heart ache.
“Gale stop! Slow down!” Jenny was yelling from behind me. I nearly knocked down Zack and ran through Julian as I bounded past where everyone else was standing. I could hear them all sprinting behind me, shouting.
“Gale what do you think you’re going to do? We don’t even know where she lives yet!” Julian shouted floating next to me.
“You’re right; I don’t know where she lives. But I know where she’ll be right now.” I growled before running even faster leaving Julian behind with the others. When the building came into view, it made me hurt even more.
“Where is she!?” I roared bursting through the door to detention. Inside both the teacher supervising detention and Kaycee turned to me. My eyes locked with Kaycee and she yelped, running to the wall furthest away from me.
“Gale, what are you-” The teacher started but stopped when I turned to him. It was as if he was frozen in shock, terrified of me. I turned to Kaycee and before she could even blink, I had her pinned to the wall, my hand wrapped around her throat.
“What the hell did you do?” I growled as she frantically tried clawing at my hand.
“Where is Myka?” I pushed her further into the wall, pressing harder on her neck.
“Gale-” The teacher began reaching out to grab my arm. Without even thinking I knocked him back. He flew into the wall on the opposite side of the classroom, ending up slumped down on the floor unconscious.
“Wow, bad boy.” Kaycee gasped.
“Where is Myka?” I demanded again.
“Can’t. Breathe.” She gasped still clawing at my hands.
“Tell me!” I yelled tightening my hold on her even more. Her cheeks had a tinge of blue to them and her eyes started to droop.
“Answer me!” I yelled.
“Gale!” Before I could even look Jenny was by my side, frantically trying to pull my hand off of Kaycee’s neck. The others all followed behind her and Tresean, Zack and Tyler all grabbed onto my arms trying to pull me away as well.
“You’re killing her!” Jenny shrieked when she couldn’t release my hand.
“She deserves to die.” I growled between clenched teeth.
“If you kill her now, there is no chance of us finding Myka.” She said with her hand covering mine that was holding Kaycee up on the wall. Slowly what she said processed through my mind and I allowed my fingers to loosen. Quickly Jenny pulled my fingers off of Kaycee’s neck, the guys hauled me back and Kaycee fell down to the ground at our feet, clutching her throat and taking deep, ragged breaths.
“Gale what the hell did you do?” Marcus yelled from the other side of the room where he was kneeling next to the unconscious teacher.
“What? Oh.” I said distractedly looking back at him.
“We’re not supposed to let mundanes know about us.” He growled grabbing the teacher’s hand. There was a tiny glow as Marcus muttered something under his breath.
