Saturday at around noon, I get a call from Alec.
"How art thou?" I pick up the phone and say.
"You're weird." He says. "But I was wondering if we could go on that date today?"
"Sure." I say knowing I'm not doing anything.
"Ok. I'll pick you up at one. You can wear whatever you want. You'll look beautiful no matter what." I can hear the smile in his voice.
I roll my eyes. "That was so lame. I'll see you later. Bye."
"Bye, Nerd."
I call Amanda over because if I don't, she'll kill me. She comes in the matter of minutes and tells me to shower.
After my shower I put on my robe and dry my hair, before putting it in a ponytail. I then go to the my room where Amanda has outfits laid out on the floor. The first one contains a dress. Yeah, that's a no. The second has a white t-shirt and leggings. Maybe. The last one was a white long sleeved shirt with a chest pocket, black leggings and black wedged boots.
"I like the last one." I say.
She bobs her head in a nod. "You can't wear your sweatshirt."
"Yes I am."
"I know it's a sense of security but it's just Alec. He's see you without it before." She assures.
"You're right. It is just Alec. So he's not going to care if I wear it."
"Zola. You can't. You can wear her necklace. You'll be fine. Alec will be by your side the whole time. You'll be ok."
"Fine. But if I have a mental breakdown and scare him away, I blame you." She laughs, handing me the outfit. I put it on. She curls my hair but I convince her to hold the makeup.
