I wake up and my first thought is;
ITS FREAKING CHRISTMAS!!!!
I look at the clock to see that it's seven in the morning. Christmas in the only time I willingly get up before nine.
I throw off my covers and go to the bathroom. I pee, brush my teeth, and decide that my hair looks fine before going back to my bedroom. I run down the hall to Jax and Bexley's room, busting the door open and leaping onto their bed, careful to jump more on Jax so I don't hurt the baby in Bexley's belly.
"Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good merry morning!" I recite the thing I say every year on Christmas morning in my best Santa voice. I'm getting better.
"Ho Ho Ho go away." Jax mumbles, grabbing his pillow and putting it over his head.
"Well that's not the Christmas spirit, my dear big brother, now is it?" I put my hands on my hips, balancing myself on my knees.
"You know what really isn't the Christmas spirit?"
"What?"
"Grounded you until your funeral."
"Oookay then." I say slowly, moving off the bed. "I'm gonna go get the boys up and then we'll be back."
I go to the boys' room and open the door. "Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good morning!"
They, unlike their father, jump right out of bed and run past me into Jax and Bexley's room. I follow them. When I get in there they are pulling Jax out of bed. Each boy has one arm. Jax isn't moving. Like at all.
Probably because he weighs three times the amount they do.
You know what, now is not the time.
I'm just being logical.
Well stop.
"JAX!! Oh my gosh the kitchen's on fire and we're all going to die!!!" I scream.
Jax shoots out of bed and jumps into a hero stance. A fist in the air and the other hand on his hip, chin in the air.
"I WILL SAVE CHRISTMAS!!!" He starts to run to the door but trips over a toy that one of the boys left on the floor.
"Smooth." I say, biting back a laugh.
"Jax?" Bexley says, sitting up.
"Yes, Princess?" He gets up from the floor and looks at her.
"Put some clothes on. There are children here." She says. That's when I realize that he's wearing nothing but...
