My hand is getting cold. There I was, my hand just sitting in the ice. What was I doing? Well, I seem to be having a bit of trouble unfreezing this lake I somehow froze. I was certainly in a dilemma.
Well as I was sitting there trying to figure out what to do, I realized that it wasn't just my hand that was getting cold! What was that chattering noise? I looked around to find where it was coming from. Ah, that was my teeth. I should probably figure this out sooner rather than later! My hand was turning numb to the cold!
Maybe I was going about this all wrong! I focused my attention on the ice that was surrounding my hand. I was trying to unfreeze the lake. What I really needed was to unfreeze my hand!
And with that thought, I focused solely on the ice around my hand. In my surprise, the ice actually melted! Yay! My hand is free! I suppose I should continue my task.
Standing up, I confidently walked across the lake. Wah! Why are my feet going in two different directions?! Woah, woah, woah! Slow, down, now. Take it easy, easy does it. And, freeze! Ah, not the ice, my wandering feet! They are slipping and sliding all over the place! I wonder if this was all a trick from my mother in the first place.
Okay, I think I got this! Slide one foot slowly, STOP! Now carefully, carefully, slide the other foot! Easy now! And STOP! Hah! This is more tiring than freezing the lake in the first place!
I traveled across the lake using my full proof slide and stop method. Well, halfway anyway. I stopped suddenly when I had to sneeze! Okay, I should have done my best to stop the sneeze. As soon as it came out, I slid several feet back. But then, the ice disappeared!
*SPLASH!*
And I'm in the water again! Well not all the ice disappeared. Just the small part I was standing on. Now I'm under the water, and......eh? Where'd the hole I fell in go to? Um, isn't this bad? Yah! Banging on this ice is getting me no where! I am seriously running short on air here!
Closing my eyes, I bid farewell to my life. I just wanted to escape this ice water! Am I really going to die from a sneeze?! This can't be reeeeaaaalllll!
What....? Ah, something feels weird right now. Is this death? I feel the water around me is moving differently. It's as if it's entrusting itself to me. Freezing under my feet! Propelling me up! Ah! I broke through the ice! Or rather, it seemed to melt for me as I passed by.
What is this feeling? It's as if I'm one with the water! I can have it move as if it's alive! It's moving me anyway I want go! Across the surface of the water! I feel like I'm flying! Ah! Stop! STOPSTOPSTOP!
*CRASH!*
Argh! My nose! Rubbing my nose, I looked at where I was. I successfully crashed....er, arrived at the other side of the lake. I really feel like I can control the water now!
I turned to look at it. With a thought, I made a column of water shoot up into the air. It turned into a miniature figure of my mother. A beautiful water dragon emerged before I turned it into an ice sculpture with a thought. I am really getting the hang of this.
I think the trick is to feel the magic flowing. Like now. I feel connected to the water! I wonder if I could feel the earth magic at the same time as the water magic. Can I be connected to both? Let try it! There's a small stone the size of my head over there.
I think I'm getting it! I mean, wait, wait! WAIT! STOP! Ah! What's going on? The lake is moving on its own! It's creating giant waves that are threatening to wash me away! I swear it's not me! Argh, I thought I was finally getting the hang of magic and this is what happens!
I'm not sure what to do. Everything I've tried is not working! I tried connecting to the water like I was before, but it's like the connection is jammed. There's this buzzing feeling in my head right now, and it seems to be getting louder as the waves get bigger!
