I'm probably getting in over my head. I honestly don't know the first thing about hunting. Mother never took me with her as I'm just a hatchling.

So, what do I do in this situation?  You need to know that I am currently in pursuit of the villain who took my shiny crystal.

Eh? What's that? The villains with him took something more important? Nonsense! What could they have possibly taken that even comes close to my shiny crystal in importance?

Anyway, here I am in the middle of a forest.  I actually feel at home here.  Not that I was ever one for leaving the den.  The last time I snuck out I was forced to lift a boulder twice as big as my mother over twenty times! I shudder to remember that.

But I do feel as if the surroundings are similar to the area around my den.  But that's the problem now, isn't it? What with the large trees and dense foliage, it's hard to figure out if there is anything there that looks different than what it should look like. You know, like someone just passed through the area.

I am uncertain how to track my prey.  What am I supposed to be looking for, anyway? Footprints or something?  Also, I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to get lost.

I am also pretty sure I don't know the way back.  I was extremely focused on looking for some sort of signs that the human who took my shiny crystal may have left.  Because of that, though, I neglected to watch where it was that I was going!

Ah! My shiny crystal! Will I never see you again? I can feel tears beginning to sting my eyes.

"Young master." Wah!  What was that?! Where did Ben come from?!

"Y...yes?" I need to slow down my beating heart! What a scare he just gave me!

"Ah! Young master! Don't cry! I felt that this was important to you, so I and five of the guards decided to follow and give you a hand." Ben looked concerned.

Oh no! The tears are threatening to over flow! I am so moved right now!  He really wants to help me get my shiny crystal back? Also, does he know the way back? Well, although I hope he does, nothing is more important to me right now than my shiny crystal!

"Yes! Thank you so much! This rescue must be done and I could use all the help I can get!" I didn't hesitate to thank them for helping me to rescue my poor crystal.

"They must really mean a lot to you. I understand. Tristan! Can you locate the bandits' trail?" Ben turned to a tall male human.

I wonder what he meant by 'they'. I only had the one crystal. Unless......Oh no! Did he break it into more than one piece?!  Did Ben see him do it?

My heart is in turmoil as I think about the hardships my poor crystal just went through without me there to care for it.

What shall I do? Will it still stay in my hair? I will do whatever it takes to make it work out. I'm sure it will shine in the sun just the same as ever!  That's it, me! Stay positive!

"Um, young master. I know this is not the time to ask, but why is your hair braided like that?" Ben asked me while I watched in anticipation of this Tristan fellow finding signs of the human thief.

Huh? My hair? Is there something wrong with it?  I reached up to touch it.

Oh yeah. That crazy misunderstanding female that wanted me for dinner magically did this to my hair.  I left it as it was, since it conveniently kept the hair out of my face.

"Some crazy female did it." I answered honestly. I'm pretty sure it's just my magic I'm not supposed to tell others about, so this should be safe.

Ben is now giving me a strange look.  What's wrong? "Hahaha, well if a crazy female did it, I can understand why you left it!"
