I like earth dragon nests because they are surprisingly flexible. It's kind of strange to think that the earth can be flexible, but you can shape it any way you like.
My current nest was a semi dome shape, to keep the sun at bay. The ground was made into a fine soft sand. I lay there waiting for the time to gather at the carriage.
To put it bluntly, I ignored the fact that the two elves keep yelling questions at me. I feel it's enough to simply let them know. Besides, they promised not to over react, and here they are, clearly over reacting.
They've actually been trying to get my attention for awhile now. But I successfully blocked the annoying sounds and made my nest, promptly falling asleep.
I've only just woke up, and from the position of the sun, several hours have passed. They started squawking at me as soon as they saw I was awake. Can they be any more rude? Seriously, I don't really think it's as big a deal as they are making it out to be!
"Ray! You have to let us know! Is this all the magic you can use? You're not hiding anything else, are you? I don't think my heart can take any more surprises!" Lilliana asked me.
What can I say? I already decided, this time for sure, not to say anything about the rest of the magic I can use. However, I don't want to be known as a liar, either. Mother always said that true dragons don't lie.
This is why I've just decided to stay silent. Nothing bad will happen if I just don't say anything. So, let's go with that.
"Are you listening to me, Ray? You just went to sleep earlier! You have to say something, eventually! You can't keep ignoring me like this!" Lilliana kept on complaining.
"Ah, is it time to leave? It seems to have been quite some time." I tried to change the subject. They cant get this out of me!
"Trying to change the subject?" Ah! I'm caught! Lilliana is giving me a death glare!
"Um, well," And just as I was stumbling around trying to find a way out of her questioning, Luna came back. Nice timing, as always! That's why she's my favorite!
"Is it time to leave?" She starts out saying.
"Yes! That's what I've been trying to say! Don't want to be late!" With that, I left the clearing.
Ah, wait! I almost forgot to clean up my nest! I turned back to fix it. I feel as if Luna's eyes went wide from watching me fix my nest. Wait, was she there when I showed them my earth magic? Oh well, she would have learned sooner or later anyway.
"Ray?" She questioned. For some reason, her questions aren't nearly as annoying as Lilliana's. I wonder why that is. Maybe I'm just getting used to her.
"Yes?" I asked her. Why is she calling my name?
"Did you just use earth magic?" Well, that's a much better reaction than the other two.
"Uh, yes?" Did I sound a bit nervous to you?
"How?" Luna asked me.
"Well, it's hard to explain." I started to explain. Well, I mean, my mother never actually told me how to use magic besides feeling for it.
"Can you try?" Luna looks serious all of a sudden. Not you too!
"The carriage awaits! We better go!" I'm not running away! I'm not! Don't look at me like that!
Why do I feel less like a dragon when I'm around these crazy females? I feel all weak and nervous all the time. I know that I'm still a hatchling, but I am still a dragon! Oh, wait. That's right. I'm actually a human. Hmm.....
