Have you ever gone to a place that was so unlike anything you had ever seen before? Were you in awe? Excited? Surprised? Just a little bit afraid?

I was currently experiencing these feelings. And I may have been more than a little bit afraid. I was smack dab in the middle of a human territory.

Everywhere I looked, it was humans as far as the eye could see.  And the smells! And the noise! And the strange sights! I think my senses went into overload at that moment!

The group I was in was making their way through the crowd. The crowd was strangely parting as we walked by. I'm really impressed that my group could make this crowd do that! I wondered what the trick was.

Let me just say that I had never seen such a large gathering of individuals before. It was as if I was in the hive of a swarm of insects, only these insects were my size or bigger!  They were so noisy!  I had to cover my ears.

My eyes were darting everywhere. Everything was a sight I had never seen before.  Large wooden buildings I could only assume were human dens lined the path we were walking. In front of the buildings, several humans stood in front of tables.

The tables were littered with junk. As I watched, humans would go up to the tables and exchange a shiny metal disc for an object on the table. I would have personally kept the disc instead.

The humans on the other side of the tables would call out in loud voices.  For some reason, all the other humans took no notice of this. No one seemed to think it was strange in the least! I mean, aren't you concerned? They are just shouting out for people to come look at something or other! It sounds a bit serious if they're desperately calling out like that!

"Come and see this rare one of a kind tapestry!  This tapestry hung in King Edmond's palace during his reign 200 years ago!" One voice shouted out. See?! Doesn't it seem serious? Clearly, there is something about that tapestry! Perhaps it is cursed and he's trying to find someone to help him. Everyone is just walking by as if he isnt shouting for help at all! Why does no one think this behaviour is strange?!

"Fresh grilled bear steaks! Hunted just this morning on the edge of the Abyssal Forest! Guaranteed to help with muscle pains! Try some before it's gone!" Another shouted. I mean, something is obviously wrong with these humans to ignore all this! He even seems as if he's trying to help the other humans relieve muscle pains. Is it a disease? I hope I don't catch something!

I must say, I was getting more and more nervous the longer I stayed here. I also felt eyes on me as we walked. More than once, a human would glance at me strangely as we passed by.

Was it the way I was dressed? True, I'm currently only wearing my birth cloth and a cloak.  The other humans seemed way more over dressed than I currently am.

We seemed to walk for a long time. Finally, the group stopped before a particularly large building.

"Forgive us for stopping here. We need to report on our quest. Will you come in and tell the guild master the whereabouts of the orc village? Kidnapping a noble child is enough reason to issue an urgent request." Lady Therenody said.

"Of coarse!" Hanna said excitedly.  Why is she so excited to tell this guild master where the orc village is?

"Miss Dragonden. After we report our quest, I will take you to get some decent attire. After that, and inn and a nice bath will make you feel much better. I will try to contact your family to have them take you home as soon as possible." Lady Therenody said to me.

Eh? Does this mean that she knows where my mother is? Maybe I should have just asked her in the first place! Somehow, she seems to know. Well, I guess my journey will end soon. Sigh, so long freedom! It was short, but I will miss you!
