Hmm, I'm not sure what it is, but something serious was definitely happening. Well, I'm not saying that I had anything to do with it. Although, this chain of events may have a little tiny bit to do with me.
I'm saying, I'm not really sure why, but the crowd of humans in which I stand behind suddenly started screaming. That's right, they started yelling and panicking for some reason.
I'm not a stupid person. I have heard once from my mother that the most dangerous thing you could ever do was to snatch food from another's mouth. If you did snatch food, the other party would probably go crazy. At that time, you should run with all your might. Even the weakest of creatures is scary when food is on the line.
Given the fact that I just snatched food from the mouths of these humans, it would probably be a good time to run. Luckily, we were at the back of this crowd and they hadn't caught sight of me yet.
I looked around for the way out. Ah, there it is! Now, how to get there without attracting attention.
"Um, Ray?" Lillianna whispered. "I have a ton of questions, but for now, I think we need to leave. Perhaps that distraction that we originally asked you for...?"
Ah yes, there was something like that, wasn't there. Now then, water is definitely out. It takes too long to conjure up enough for a suitable distraction. How about some wind, then?
I held up my hands and conjured up a breeze. Well, I say breeze, but it was more like a tornado. Was it too much? Eh, well, it works anyway. At least now, they really have something to scream about.
Although I'm pretty sure I could have simply teleported over to the exit, this was a bit more fun. I mean, look at all those humans flying around and panicking!
Eh? Why? Why are they running to the exit?! How are we supposed to sneakily get out now?!
"Quickly!" Lilliana said after a short pause.
She grabbed another cloak and threw it on Miss Ex-dinner. After that, she grabbed both my and the new elf's hand and ran towards the door with the crowd.
I was a bit nervous, since now I was surrounded by a bunch of panicking hungry humans, but they seemed to ignore us. Eh, I guess it's all right then. Maybe that distraction worked!
Whoa! I had to duck as a flying human almost hit me! He crashed into the crowd in front of us instead. Hmm, is that tornado headed this way? Whoops! No you don't! Back that way! Shoo, now!
It's hard to concentrate on my magic and escape at the same time! Hey, don't judge me! You try it sometime!
Ahem. Anyway, we climbed over the pile of bodies the flying human created and successfully escaped this building with a new elf in tow. Lillianna turned us down one of those dark corridors she and Luna seem to be fond of and off we went down another maze.
Are we leaving the human den yet? Well, it's not like I mind staying here, but I feel it's getting a bit too dangerous to simply be walking around in the middle of these dangerous creatures.
Hmm? What's that? I turned my head and sure enough, I spotted someone following us. Does he look hungry? I couldn't help but to cringe.
Its...it's not like I'm afraid of him eating me! I'm not! .....well, maybe just a tiny bit. But, I was almost eaten once before! It's a scary experience I don't want to repeat!
"Um, excuse me." I think it's best to warn my allies. "I think that person is hunting us."
The three females stopped running and looked at me. Then, they all slowly turned to look behind us just as the man in question ducked out of sight.
