Lance walked around the castle towards the kitchen where the other Paladins were gathered. He'd just figured out how they would be able to communicate better with Keith while he was on missions and he couldn't wait to share it with everyone. They were all saying how weird it was to have no contact with Keith while he was with the blade. He made his way into the kitchen to find hunk, matt and pidge gathered around a bunch of mechanical parts and screws. They were talking low and all had a look of complete concentration on their faces.

"Guys guess what I did!" Lance said excitedly.

"Not now lance. We are in the middle of something." Hunk mumbled while he fidgeted with a screw.

"But it's really important..." Lance replied.

"I'm sure it can wait." Pidge said and waved her hand as if to tell him to go away. Lance frowned and made his way out of the kitchen. He debated going back to his room but instead he made his way to the control room where Allura and shiro were talking to each other.

"No shiro, that's not how it works!" Lance heard Allura laugh loudly. He smiled to himself.

"Just let me through. I can figure it out." Shiro laughed. Lance walked into the room about to tell them what he had done but stopped when he saw Shiro wrap his arms around Allura and pull her close to him. Both of them laughed unaware of Lances presence.

"Put me down shiro. I'm not letting you touch anything else." Allura said half serious. But shiro just smiled and lightly kissed her on the cheek. Lance's eyes were about as big as two saucers when he saw this. How did he not notice this before. Allura and shiro did have a close relationship but he didn't know it was THAT close. He didn't want to bother them so he turned and made his way out of the room, shoving his hands in his pockets.  He marched down the hall back to his room and kept his eyes glued to the floor as he marched past Lotor, who just recently joined the Paladins.

"Hey blue.." lotor said in a sarcastically friendly tone. But lance barely looked up and kept walking down the hall. "Hey lance? Where are you off to?" He heard Lotor yell to him but he knew Lotor probably didn't care. No one else did.

When he was finally in his room he closed the door and sat on the edge of his bed. Left alone in the silence of his bedroom. The only noise was the occasional creaks from the castle and the faint laughter of Hunk and pidge. Lance looked down at his hands and realized he had balled them up into fists. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, laying down slowly on the bed. Why would anyone care anyways. I'm just the goofball. Not to be taken seriously. Of course they wouldn't believe that I actually did something productive for the team. I'm useless here. Lance thought to himself as he looked up at the ceiling above his bed. A 7th wheel.... well more like 9th now that Lotor and matt are here. He swallowed hard and choked back a small sob. He wasn't going to cry over something so stupid.

A lot of time passed as lance laid in his bed. He heard pidge and matt walking past his room talking and laughing and thought about going out to talk to them but couldn't find the motivation to get up. He wiped away a few tears that had escaped from his eyes and let out a long shaky breath. If they won't listen to me then I guess I'll try contacting Keith myself. Lance pulled himself together and grabbed the device he'd put together. A small hologram screen opened up as it dialled the blades ship. Kolivan answered.

"Blue paladin. Is there something wrong?" He asked.

"No. I just put together a device that would make contacting Kei- the blade more easy and wanted to check it out." Lance said.

"Well I'm glad to see it works. But we are very busy and can't afford to be interrupted anymore." Kolivan said as he reached to end the call.

"Is Keith there? I was hoping to talk to him. I wanted to see if everyone would like to talk to him." Lance asked and he swallowed hard.
