Lance walked down the dark hallway towards the blue door that stood tall at the end of it. He went slowly so he wouldn't trip on anything and rubbed his eyes so they would adjust quicker to the darkness. As he made his way closer to the door the soft whimpers coming from the room could be heard louder. Lance slowly opened the door and made his way over to the noise.

"Hey buddy." Lance said and he bent over the side of the crib, picking up the baby off of the mattress. "Shhh, it's alright I'm right here." He said softly as he slowly rocked the small child in his arms. The baby instantly started to calm down when he felt the warmth of his father close to him.

Lance smiled down at the baby in his arms. He never thought he would love something so much. Keith and him had decided to finally adopt after many months of long discussions. At first lance wasn't sure about it but then he put his negative feelings aside once he realized how many children there were who needed parents to care for them.

Keith having his own experiences with the foster care system was on board with the idea right away. He knew what it was like to be alone and wish to have a family. So when lance agreed to the idea he couldn't hold his excitement in. Lance still makes fun of him for how excited he had been.

The baby was quiet now but was still awake looking up at lance with wide brown eyes. His mother had given him up for adoption since she was too young to take care of him herself. She had met with lance and Keith the day they came to see the baby. The girl had already named him before they got there and she had asked them if it was okay to if she had already chosen his name. Lance and Keith didn't mind, they liked the name Cameron.

Lance slowly rocked Cameron and hummed softly to try to get him to slowly fall back to sleep. The baby reached up and rubbed his hand on the light scruff on Lances chin. He laughed loudly and lance smiled widely down at him. Lance wiggled his chin around and the baby laughed louder. "You're supposed to put him to sleep. Not rile him up." Keith said. He was standing in the doorway watching lance play with the baby.

"I couldn't help it. Look at his cute little face." Lance said and Keith walked over to the two. The baby seemed to fit perfectly in Lances arms and he looked very content as he gazed up at him. Keith smiled and leaned his head against Lances shoulder.

"He really is cute." Keith said and Cameron turned his gaze to Keith. "Hi.." Keith said quietly and Cameron smiled up at him. Lance hugged his arms around the baby tighter and buried his face into his stomach.

Keith loved how good lance was with children. He always knew what to do when they were crying and they all seemed to liked him instantly. Keith was a little more awkward with kids. Especially ones as small as Cameron. But he eventually got over it and loved being with him.

Lance was now slowly walking towards the chair that sat beside Cameron's crib. He sat down slowly and begin to hum softly again. Keith could see Cameron was started to fall asleep again and he decided to leave so lance could do his thing. Besides it was like 2 in the morning and he was exhausted.

After Keith said goodnight and left, lance was left alone in the room with Cameron again. He closed his eyes and listened to Cameron's breathing as it started to steady, a sign that he was either close to sleeping or asleep. Lance didn't dare to move from his spot just in case he woke up so he continued his humming and rocking. There was no feeling better then holding your baby and lance could never get enough of it.

After a few more minutes both lance and Cameron fell asleep. Keith had already gone back to bed and he patiently waited for lance to come back. Well he tried to wait but he too eventually fell asleep.

Keith woke up and saw that lance wasn't in bed and got up. He assumed lance was probably already up with Cameron so he made his way down the small set of stairs in their apartment to the kitchen.

He grabbed a coffee and put it into the Keurig Machine. Keith rubbed his hands over his face and stretched his arms up while he waited for his coffee. Once it was finished he made his way towards the couch and was surprised to see lance wasn't there. Confused, he set his coffee down on the wooden coffee table and made his way back upstairs.

The door creaked slightly when Keith opened it and he saw lance was asleep on the chair with the baby still in his arms. Cameron was wide awake and was just staring contently around the room. Keith walked over to lance and took Cameron out of his arms. Lance stirred slightly and then he opened his eyes. "Hey babe, sorry I fell asleep." He rubbed a hand over his eyes and Keith just laughed.

"Next time make sure you put him back in the crib before you decide to sleep. Cuz we both know how much you move around in your sleep." Keith said and he unwrapped Cameron from his blanket. He brought him over to the change table and grabbed a fresh diaper.

"I can do that." Lance said and he tried to take the pamper from Keith who quickly pulled it away from him.

"Hey. You do enough. Go eat something." Keith said and lance pouted his lip. "Fine. You can help." Keith rolled his eyes and lance wrapped his arm around him from behind. He kissed Keith's neck and then set his chin on his shoulder.

"That always works." Lance said.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Keith said and he turned to face lance.

"Yes you do." Lance smiled and kissed Keith on the cheek before letting him go so he could finish changing Cameron.

The three of them made their way down the stairs and Keith brought Cameron into the living room, sitting him on the floor to play with his toys while lance got him some food. Keith sat on the couch and drank his coffee while he watched Cameron attempt to put a block in his little bucket. He laughed and smiled down at the baby on the floor.

Lance stood at the door watching Keith play with Cameron. He was lying on his back with Cameron sitting on his stomach. Cameron reached down and grabbed Keith's chin, laughing when Keith pretended to bite his finger. Both of them were smiling lovingly at each other and lance couldn't help but feel happy and proud in that moment as he watched his family play in front of him. They were the most important things to him and he loved them both more then words could tell.

Lance walked into the room and sat down beside Keith who was now laughing along with Cameron. Keith looked over at lance and smiled. "Watch this." Keith said and he inflated his stomach with air and then quickly deflated it. Cameron began to laugh harder then lance had ever heard him laugh and when Keith joined in it made lance laugh too.

"Man I love you." Lance said and he kissed Keith's mouth. Cameron tried reaching for Lances ear and looked defeated when lance pulled away. "And I love you too." Lance said and he nuzzled his nose into the child's stomach, all three of them laughing once again.
