Keith walked slowly through the shadows of the large galra ship, being careful to not make any noise and stay hidden from the guards. He knew he only had a small amount of time to find what he was looking for. He made his way down long hallways and through many doors until he arrived at the far end of the ship. He could here guards talking amongst themselves, some giving orders and some sounding friendly towards each other. To bad they weren't this nice towards everyone. Keith thought to himself.

Since the rest of the Paladins were busy keeping a small planet close to the ship safe Keith decided he'd be the one to retrieve what the galra had stolen. Besides he was the only one other then shiro who could open the doors. He continued his slow journey down the hall, ducking into the shadows whenever he heard someone coming. He kept his sword in his hand and his eyes glued on his destination. Then his eyes came across a bigger door to the left of the hallway. That was it. When Keith knew the coast was clear he quickly entered the door.

Just like the rest of the ship, the door led to another hallway. But this one was much smaller. It's where the galra kept their most important possessions. Keith walked down the hall listening through the doors. He couldn't here anything until he came across the last one.

"How long do you think until he breaks?" A loud voice said on the other side of the door.

"He's not as strong as he thinks he is. He will eventually. For now we can have some fun." Another voice replied, this one a female. Keith stood up and looked through the small window. He saw two galra guards standing in the middle of the room, their backs facing the door, looking at something on the ground. Keith couldn't see what it was.

"Now tell us, where are your little friends hiding? Or should we call them your friends. I haven't seen any of them attempt to retrieve you." The male voice said, demanding an answer. Keith kept his eyes glued on the window.

"I already told you. I don't know and if I did I would never tell you." A voice hissed tiredly. Then the sound of a whip followed by an agonizing scream echoed through the room. Keith flinched a little and considered barging into the room to rescue the poor person that was in there. He knew he couldn't. He was here for someone else. But he stayed anyways.

"You'd think he'd tell us by now. Even Hagar couldn't get him to talk." The female said quietly. Then Keith saw her turn around and he ducked down quickly. "Give him a few more and meet me in the left wing. We will need to discuss this with Hagar." The female said and she walked through the door just as Keith hid. He heard the sound of a whip cracking a few more times and the painful cries echo through the room once more. Each whip resulting in a more defeated and tired sound coming from whoever was in the room. Then the male left the room.

Keith wanted to leave. He needed to find who he was looking for. But he knew it'd be cruel to leave whoever this was behind. So he opened the door and for the first time he saw the face of the prisoner. It was Lance. Or it was what was left of him.

Lance looked up and made eye contact with Keith. Keith could tell he wasn't fully there because lance just laughed and looked away. His eyes had no emotion and he just smiled weakly. "Have nothing better to do with your time Hagar?" Was all lance said In a voice hardly recognizable. He tried to move but was brought back down to the floor. Then Keith saw his back. It was red, everything was red. Where smooth, flawless skin should've been was broken and torn flesh. Keith swore he saw bone but had to look away, there was too much blood even for him.

"Lance, it's not Hagar. It's Keith. I'm getting you out of this place." Keith said and he reached for the restraints on Lances wrists. But lance flinched and pulled his hands away.

"Please stop. I can't do it anymore." Keith heard lance plead quietly and for the first time since Keith entered the ship he felt like the only thing that mattered was getting lance out. "Please..." Lance said again and Keith could see that now Lances eyes were pleading and... he was crying. Keith reached out to make lance focus on him but lance flinched again under at the sudden touch. "I already said I don't know where they are. They left me alone and then I ended up here. I don't know... I don't know." Lance whispered. Keith slowly pulled Lances face up and made him look at him.
