Here's another long one.
(This will probably be broken into different parts)Keith was escorted by his body guards through the white and blue hallways of the altean castle. The faint sound of musical instruments that Keith didn't recognize drifted throughout the halls and filled his ears. His father followed closely behind him and he could see his gaze also drifting around the castle.
They finally made it to the end of the large hallway where two guards stood in front of a large blue door.
"Your names?" The guard on the right asked and they both crossed their spears in front of them.
"I am king Laith of Marmora and this is my son." Keith's father said from behind him. The altean guards shared a glance and removed their spears. The guard on the left placed his hand on a small glass window beside the door and it immediately opened.
"Enjoy your night." The Gaurd said and the four Galras walked through the doors.
Once they were all through, the doors closed behind them again and Keith could hear the music much better now. The room opened up into a large ballroom. The walls shined with altean jewels and people of many different kinds danced and laughed on the dance floor below. An Altean standing at the top of the stairs asked them for their names before writing them down onto a piece of paper. After giving their names Keith and his father made their way down the stairs. Before they got to the third step the altean behind them shouted loudly.
"The Galran King and Prince of Marmora." Then everyone's eyes turned in their direction and Keith felt uncomfortable under their stares.
"Was that necessary?" Keith whispered to his father.
"They do it as a sign of respect. You should be thankful." His father said and he immediately broke away from Keith once he reached the end of the staircase.
The two body guards stayed close to his father and Keith rolled his eyes. Guess the safety of the king is more important then the heir. Keith didn't care though. He had more freedom and he made his way to the left of the staircase, moving so he would be out of the way. Keith contemplated going with his father but he'd probably get to bored listening to whatever the old guys talk about at parties like this.
"Altean Princess Allura and her fiancé Shiro." Keith looked up to the top of the staircase and saw a beautiful woman making her way down the stairs. Her hair was whiter then snow and she had light pink markings on her cheeks. Beside her was tall man who had the look of a warrior. Not the mention a nasty looking scar that ran across the bridge of his nose, his markings were blue and Keith wondered if the colour was gender specific. He hadn't met very many alteans before this.
"I'll see you in a few minutes shiro, I have some friends who wanted to speak to me." Princess Allura said and shiro nodded. "And try to find my brother. Father will be unhappy if he skips again. We don't need any unnecessary trouble." Then she disappeared into the crowd leaving her fiancé standing alone not far from Keith. He watched as shiros gaze wandered around the faces of the guests then his face turned into a disapproving scowl.
"You didn't happen to see the prince have you?" A voice asked beside Keith. He turned his gaze and saw that shiro was now standing beside him.
"I don't think so. I wouldn't really know what he'd look like to be honest." Keith admitted and shiro sighed.
"That boy is gonna be the death of his father. I swear if he isn't here-" shiro said before he stopped and his eyes widened. "I'm sorry. I never introduced myself. I'm shiro. Don't bother asking for a last name I don't share it with people." Shiro put out his right hand or what was left of it. Instead it was replaced with some kind of metal arm and Keith quickly put his hand out to shake it. "And you are?" Shiro asked and raised an eyebrow.
