"I'll be home in a few hours.... alright. Love you too." Lance hung up the phone and slowly made his way along the street. He zippered his jacket up farther and quickened his pace so he would stay warm. Lance had just finished work a few minutes ago and was about to run some errands before going back home. He stopped by a small general store and went in to pick up some milk.

After lance got what he needed from the store he quickly made his way down the sidewalk to his hairdresser. He'd been needing a haircut for a few weeks and Keith was adamant that he get one today, before their weekend trip. The weather was beginning to get colder and the snow was falling slowly from the sky. Lance hurried his pace up and was thankful for the heat he was greeted with when he stepped into the barber shop.

"Hey hunk." Lance said and he made his way over to the red leather chair on the fair side of the room.

"Good to see ya lance. You are way overdue for a haircut. Look at this mop." Hunk said and lance rolled his eyes.

"It's not that bad hunk." Lance said and hunk laughed.

Hunk reached over to the counter and grabbed his scissors. Lance watched hunk carefully in the mirror as he began  to slowly cut Lances hair, making it shorter and more manageable to work with.

"So what do you want done this time?" Hunk asked and lance thought for a moment.

"Whatever you think will look good. I trust that you won't let me down." Lance said and hunk practically beamed excitement.

He began to cut and shave the hair on Lances head, turning him away from any mirrors so lance wouldn't be able to see what was happening, hunk said he wanted it to be a surprise. The other men in the shop had gathered around and were watching hunk, marvelling at his skills.

Hunk was easily the best hairdresser in the city and it was hard to get appointments with him. But hunk and lance had been good friends since high school, so he had become a regular for hunk.

Lance could tell that whatever hunk was doing must look somewhat decent by the reactions of everyone who had now gathered around to watch. Some were recording it and would eventually post it onto their hairdressing accounts later, like the ones you see on Instagram. "Hunk you better not be making me look dumb." Lance said.

"Listen lance. When have I ever made you look dumb?" Hunk asked.

"Plenty of times." Lance said, remembering back to their high school years.

"Hey if I hadn't made you look like an idiot. You never would've met Keith." Hunk said and he raised his eyebrows, although lance couldn't tell.

Hunk moved his hand slightly to quickly down and hit into Lances ear, his ear that was currently in very much pain considering he had gotten it pierced a little while ago. "Ow!" Lance said loudly and hunk apologized.

"You should get that checked out. I don't think it's normal for it to still hurt." Hunk said and Lance could feel him barely touching a razor to his head.

"It's fine. The guy said it would hurt for a bit." Lance had gotten his left ear pierce on a dare given to him by Keith while they were both wasted after spending their night at a club just down the road from the tattoo parlour. At first Keith suggested a tattoo but lance refused to get one, instead opting for a piercing. Luckily Keith wasn't allowed to say where lance had to get it. If that was the case lance would be in a lot  more pain then he was already.

"Uh huh..... well I am done." Hunk said and he brushed the loose hairs away from Lances head before patting him on the shoulders.

"Man hunk. You are the definition of talent." One of the other hairdressers said before he got up and admired Lances haircut. A few more followed behind him and lance got up, giving hunk a firm handshake.
