robbie blinked slowly, "oh, sorry man" he replied, scratching his neck nervously. soon after he asked a flight attendant to move seats, leaving me and grayson alone

"what was that all about?" i asked, nervous for his reply.

"listen, i was trying to help. never in a million years will that happen" he spat coldly, turning back to the window.

honestly, this kid is so bipolar.

a few minutes later the flight attendant came to give us our meals. grayson was soundly asleep beside me so i decided to fold his tray out for him and place his food there.

i dug into my own food, glancing at grayson as he stirred in his sleep and ultimately woke up from the smell of his food.

"how'd this get here?" he asked in confusion, his eyes still half closed.

i laughed at his confused face, "you were asleep so i put it there for you".

he paused for a moment, my smile dropped when i realized he was probably going to yell at me for that too.

"thanks" he said shortly, digging into his food.

he started making random jokes and talking with food in his mouth. i even clutched my stomach from laughing so hard.

"st-st-opp" i mumbled, trying not to choke on my drink

he laughed at me, making a weird face to make me laugh even more.

the flight passed just like that, us laughing and making dumb faces, almost forgetting we were sworn enemies.

our laughter stopped when the announcement came on "please buckle your seatbelts, we will be landing in 5 minutes" said the static voice through the intercom

i sighed, we were 5 minutes away from adam and alexis.

"what's wrong?" he asked suddenly, i paused for a moment, wondering what in the world was wrong with him. one minute he hated me and the next minute he looked like he sincerely cared

"its just alexis"

"i thought you guys are best friends" he asked, tilting his head slightly

"were" i corrected, leaning back in the seat and sighing.

"what happened" he inquired quietly.

"well she wa-" i started only to get cutoff by the flight attendant ushering us out, we groaned and exited the plane.

we scanned the airport and saw our little 'group' standing by the luggage claim belt. we looked at each other and sighed in unison before walking over and joining them.

"had a good flight?" my dad asked everyone, chuckling.

annie and alex smiled, "yeah it was fun!",

ethan and abby groaned, telling us how tired they were because they had been too busy trying to deal with the annoying the lady next to them.

"what about you two?" abby asked, hiding her smirk from our parents

i rolled my eyes and looked over at grayson for a reply.

"meh" he replied, shrugging his shoulders and walking towards the luggage claim. he heaved his suitcase off and rolled it over to the side. just a few minutes ago he seemed so caring, now he went back to ignoring me.

damn was this kid bipolar.

"hurry along now" my dad pestered

soon we had all gotten our luggage and were now waiting for alexis and adam's family to pick us up.

i scanned the airport while i was waiting, my eyes landed on a man sitting on the waiting chairs wearing sunglasses and a long trench coat.

odd dressing style considering it was still warm out

my glance lingered on the man for a little while longer. he lifted his glasses down and sent me a smirk.

my breath hitched in my throat as i realized who it was.

brent.
