"you good?" ethan's gentle voice asked

i shook my thoughts out of my head and gathered my stuff. stuffing everything into my backpack quietly and starting to walk out of the room

well that's before ethan grabbed my wrist on my way out

"can we talk?"

i rolled my eyes, even though he couldnt see my face. "we talked the other day, what do you possibly want to talk about right now?"

"stop acting like this becuase i know you aren't like this at all and second, are you gonna stay mad forever over something so small. can we just forget it and move on?" he said, "Please?" he added quickly.

"im not sure", i know its petty but come on what else was i supposed to do?

he groaned, throwing his hands up in frustration before letting go of my wrist

i walked towards the door and was getting nervous that i was really late for my second class

just as i was about to leave i felt someone pull me into a bear hug.

ethan.

i shook my arms a little, trying to free myself from his grasp

"i missed you" he whisper, his hot breath hitting my ear

my cheeks shot up in flames at how close he was, is he okay?

"i don't care if you like it or not, we're going to get ice cream" he exclaimed, dragging me out of the room

"no, im not skipping school" i said firmly, pulling myself out of his grip

"relax" he said, leading me out to his car

i stood there, not moving.

no way am i going to skip school, with ethan dolan of all people

"get in" he said abruptly, but me being me, i stayed where i was

"i said, get in"

again, i stood still, my feet rooted into the ground.

he sighed and began to walk over to me before sweeping down and picking me up bridal style

i screamed before his hand covered my mouth, all while laughing

when we both were in the car he leaned over and buckled my seatbelt for me, stopping for a second with his lips near my neck

my cheeks shot up in flames again, i turned and quickly looked out the window

what was happening.

"ash...?" ethan said, waving his hand infront of my face

we were sitting at one of the tables outside of the ice cream parlour, "your ice cream is melting" he pointed towards my ice cream

"huh, oh" i shook out my deep thoughts and stared down at the melting ice cream

"what are you thinking about?" he asked, placing his chin on his palm and facing me

truth is i was thinking about him, grayson and alexis.

what was she doing there that night?

i still haven't texted her back since the last time she texted.

"can i ask you a question eth?" i said, he looked up and i could see he looked a little worried nervous because he bit his lip slightly before breaking into a grin

"why're you smiling?" i asked, getting a little annoyed

he stood up and started dancing around, i looked around us and saw people looking.

what is wrong with this kid?

"what. are. you. doing?" i asked through gritted teeth, embarrassed at the reactions of everyone around us

i let out a breath when he sat back down

"you called me eth" he said, laughing to himself

i stared at him blankly for a second before i too, started laughing with him and soon we were laughing so hard until our stomach's hurt

after a few minutes he spoke, "anyway, you were gonna ask me something"

"oh yeah, that..." i got quiet and looked down.

"is it something to do with brent because if it is im gonna go beat the sh-"

"its not" i said, waving my hand to dismiss this thought and cutting him off

"then what?"

i looked back up, i was just about to ask him when an uninvited guest showed up

leeane, and better yet, she was with grayson.

"what are you love birds doing here?" she sneered, looking from ethan to me and back

"first date?" she asked in that fake voice of hers

i looked at grayson who was behind her and he was eyeing us both, his jaw clenched

she saw my line of gaze and turned around to grab his arm,

"c'mon gray" she whined

i looked back at ethan and we both rolled our eyes

im telling you no one likes her, well except for grayson

they both walked away,

well more like leeane dragged grayson away

"we should go, school's gonna end soon" ethan said, standing up and picking up our garbage, i watched him walk to the trashbin, no i don't mean leeane, and throw out the trash

we went back to his car and then back home. he asked if he could come in and stay a while but my mom had other plans.

"sorry hun! we're going away this weekend" she said to ethan. i looked at her, confused out of my mind.

she turned to look at me, laughing at the confusion on my face, "we're visiting alexis! it's her birthday on saturday, remember?"

"well See ya" ethan said, sending me a small wave. just as he was about to leave, i walked over to him and kissed his forehead.

he stepped back for a second and then started laughing.

i looked down, why am i so dumb?

i felt heat rush to my cheeks and i heard him walk out

i sighed and  went to the living room, turning on the T.V

i stared at the moving pictures on the screen, not even paying attention to them. the thought of meeting alexis again clouded my mind, how do i even face her?

or maybe i could come up with an excuse to opt out

this is going to be a long week.
