"so, who's grayson to you?" victoria asked, the other girls scooting closer, eager to know the answer.

i had no idea what to say, i couldn't say friend becuase he hated my guts.

"he's my best friend's brother" i replied shortly, slightly shrugging my shoulders

"so ethan is your best friend?" amber asked,

"yup" i replied, popping the p, "and will always be"

"okay..." amber replied awkwardly

what was with her?

"we're gonna go and get some ice cream" victoria said suddenly, standing up and dusting the sand off of her sundress

they all followed her, standing up and dusting off their own dresses. except for madelyne.

"maddy you're not coming?" amber asked, looking from maddy to the ice cream stand

"nah i'll stay here" she replied, smiling at me.

the beach had been alot of fun, i had actually made some new friends and even exchanged each other's numbers.

what was even more shocking was the fact that they were moving to new jersey soon and were just here just for another week.

we all let out excited squeals, already planning where and when we would meet again in new jersey, it was good to know that maybe they might go to my school,

maybe.

i had seen alexis with a different boy today, she seems to be jumping around everyday.

seemed like she couldn't handle boredom

i decided that i had avoided her for too long and i would talk to her when we all went out for dinner tonight.

when we returned to the hotel i was already exhausted, getting myself ready to take a nice and well deserved nap.

until ethan decided to barge in.

"it's my best friend!" ethan yelled cheerfully, jumping on the bed

how did he still have this much energy?

"hey eth"

"soooo..." he began, sitting up across from me on the bed, putting a pillow in his lap.

"soo..?" i repeated, only then remembering that i hadn't told him about what happened because we had to leave for the beach.

"amber..." ethan said slowly, turning a slight shade of pink that it would have been hard to see hadn't i leaned in to analyze his facial expression

"ohhh, amber..." i teased, smirking and wiggling my eyebrows

"is she going to be around often?" he asked, trying to be all nonchalant

"you're not going to believe it" i said excitedly

"believe what?" a voice asked from the doorway

we both turned to see grayson enter the room. i immediately averted my gaze back to ethan, i couldn't even look at him and he honestly didn't care anyways.

"yeah, what?!" ethan said hurriedly, looking a little scared.

i ignored grayson's presence, pretending he wasn't there and turned to look back at ethan.

"amber and the rest of the girls are living together and they're all moving to new jersey in a week"

"shut up" he said, in disbelief.

"wait so vic, madelyne and alyssia will be there too?" grayson asked, smiling to himself.

vic?

new nickname already?

"yeah" i whispered,

"sweet" he smiled, grabbing his things and leaving the room.

"eth can you leave me alone for a while, im going to take a short nap" i said slowly, hurt on the inside

his eyes softened as he nodded, walking towards the door. "tell me later okay?"

i nodded to which he smiled back before softly shutting the door.

i started at the ceiling, feeling a small pang of jealousy inside. i sat and thought about everything.

why was i so bothered that grayson had asked victoria for her number? or that he had already given her a nickname?

was i jealous?

no i couldn't be,

i merely wanted victoria to have a real relationship, not where grayson was going to be with her just for fun

my thoughts were interuppted by my mom yelling for us to 'gather round'

i sat up straight, letting out a sigh before heading to the "main room" where everyone was sitting

alexis's family was there too.

"huge announcement!" shanon squealed,

god that woman had no volume button.

my mom side hugged her, my dad smiling.
my eyes travelled over to alexis who seemed to be annoyed but adam was beaming.

"alexis you want to tell everyone the news?" shanon asked, ushering alexis to the front.

"sure whatever" she mumbled, shrugging her shoulders.

"my family along with my boyfriend are coming to visit new jersey" she said in monotone, looking at all of us.

"...who's your boyfriend?" ethan asked, everyone else seemed to be eager to know.

"oh, his name is brent"
