my jaw dropped

my mom let go of sharon and looked at me, horrified. for a second everyone was silent, no one moved.

i looked around and saw grayson and ethan with thier jaws practically on the floor. annie and alex seemed to have no care in the world as they played subway surfers

abby was frozen in her spot.

"not that brent, relax" adam broke the silence,  everyone let out a sigh of relief and continued talking.

i walked to my parents room in search of my dad but he was nowhere to be seen.

"mom, where's dad?" i asked my mom as she stood cutting something in the kitchen

"he went out. go talk with ethan, gray, alexis and adam"

i nodded, trudging back into the living room see grayson and ethan sitting on the sofas. ethan was sitting on his phone but grayson was staring right at me.

i turned away from him, not wanting to initiate conversation at the moment but i could feel his eyes burning holes through me.

"come, now" someone whispered,

grayson stood there and grabbed my wrist, leading me to our room.

"what?" i asked, crossing my arms and leaning againt the doorframe

"they're lying"

"who, what?" i asked, confused at who he was talking about

"she's dating the same brent" he said, putting his head in his hands.

alexis was mean but not this mean, she wouldn't do that?

but it did explain why she was hugging Brent the other day.

and he still had my diary.

"he has my diary" i blurted out

"so?"

"it has...er...stuff in there" i huffed

"what stuff?" he asked, directing all his attention towards me

"some stuff..." i said slowly, i wasn't about to tell him that i had written my feelings for him in there.

or written about him at all

"like...?" he asked, standing up

"can't say"

"just tell me, i won't say anything", "i swear" he added

he 100000000% didn't like me back so there was no harm in telling him.

it was better to get it done an over with

i took a deep breath.

"stuff about brent, about ethan, you, my friends..." i finished quickly,

he blinked at me, opening his mouth to speak

but before he could, i turned around and walked out of the room.

i get it, ive been such an idiot, treated her like trash but she thinks i actually hate her.

its the opposite, i like her company.

i just have to keep up my reputation, plus she's not really a "catch" and id have no friends i ever went out with her.

i need to get that diary from brent.

today was a day for all of us to relax and just have some alone time. i

decided to text the girls and meet up at a park to hangout.

ashley: hey guys, wanna hang out today?

amber: SURE!

madelyne: I'll be there

alyssia: bettt

ashley: meet me at lawnacres park?

amber: we'll be there!

victoria: give us like 20 mins

alyssia: i gotta grab some food lol

i smiled to myself, finally i found friends who actually care about me and want to hangout. who like the same things and i do and can actually hold a proper conversation

i ran to my room, getting some snacks and my sunglasses. i was already ready from before becuase we had all planned to go to the beach again but alex wasn't feeling well.

when i walked in i saw grayson was sitting on the bed on his phone.

"where are you going?" he asked, sitting up.

"somewhere" i replied quickly, leaving the room, making sure to slam the door.

like i said,

perfect, shes leaving.

i texted adam.

grayson: She's gone

adam: When do we leave?

grayson: in a few

adam: you sure this is going to work?

grayson: i hope so

grayson: where are they?

adam: lexi and brent?

grayson: yeah

adam: lawnacres park

grayson: perfect, she won't be anywhere near there.

i shut my eyes, praying that my plan will work.
