maybe i would wake up from this bad dream.

"throw it!" i heard someone scream. i felt my face wet. bolting up right and coughing out the water.

"shes awake" amber yelled,

i looked around confused, i was lying in the middle of the sidewalk with ethan's phone still in my hand.

"my god, oh my god" maddy ranted out , kneeling down and helping me sit up.

victoria ran from behind her.

"im okay" i stuttered

"you arent!" amber said, running to the car, or what once was a car.

soon we heard ambulance sirens, and i was brought inside and was questioned onto the way to the hospital.

thinking about it, ever since i've moved here, its been miserable.

i was not badly injured so i was released from the hospital the next day and now i slowly made my way to school, atleast i'd see the girls there.

i walked up the stairs and saw leeane hugging grayson and kissing his neck

i turned away and kept walking and there i saw him, ethan.

he sat there with a bandage on his arm and that was all, tears slipped down my cheeks as he looked at me and turned away, stalking off to his friends.

it hurt, seeing my best friend injured and i had tried my best to help but he was gone before i could.

i entered the school building and made my way towards the office for my semester 2 classes.

"ashley!! i heard you were in the hospital?! are you okay?" annalise asked me,

she went around the desk and gave me a hug.

"im fine!" i laughed and pulled away from the hug. she hugged me again and returned to her desk.

"i came to get my schedule" i told her, she nodded and went to the other room at the back to get it for me.

i awkwardly stood there fiddling with my fingers and looking around when my eyes fell on a slip of paper with the names leeane johnson, ethan dolan, grayson dolan and alex aiono.

i quickly made sure no one was looking and swiftly grabbed the paper and stuffed it in my bag.

"here you go" someone said,

i jumped and straigtened up. annalise was standing there holding out my schdule. did she see anything?

"thank you!" i said cheerfully and scurried out of the office.

i stood outside and caught my breath and looked at my schedule for my first class.

yes! i had mrs. rimlay again becuase she taught english and business.

i made my way to mrs. rimlay's class and prayed that grayson or ethan weren't there. i hesitantly entered the classroom becuase i was late and all eyes would be on me.

"ashley!! come on in!" mrs. rimlay said, smiling.

i sent her a weak smile and made my way to an empty desk at the back. during the lesson i looked around and smiled to my self becuase grayson or ethan weren't in my class.

after math class, i headed to the cafeteria and spotted the girls sitting at table.

"ayo ladies and gentlemen!!!" amber sung along to the lyrics of bts' dope, laughing.

"hi guys" i greeted, laughing as i sat down

we exchanged schedules and were sad that none of us had the same classes.

"ayyy my man!!" we heard someone yell,

we all whipped around to see ethan surrounded by his friends high fiving him. i looked back at the girls and saw amber rolling her eyes and taking out her phone. i nudged maddy and victoria to turn back around and act as if nothing was happening.

"everyone!" alex yelled, the cafeteria went silent.

the group moved aside to reveal, to my horror...
